Compare to the $59 per month plan, with $5 more, you can get an iphone 8 plus instead of iphone 8.

    Thanks OP, did an online chat and signed up 2 numbers to port over. Rep confirmed offer ends 3rd January 2018. I managed to delay my shipping time so I receive it slightly later so I don't waste too much of my Kogan data which expires in 2 weeks.

      I went to HN 1 week ago to get the same contract, but the porting from Vodafone has so much trouble (mainly the problem with Optus), even today the Optus sim still not "active".

      probably comes down to reps who need the successful sales to meet their targets that are willing to "bend" the rules they're given. Probably nothing stopping them applying this plan to an existing customer except the "rules" given down from management.

      If i was a CSR who needed sales and it was this or another talking to from my team leader.. i'd bend the rules too most likely

    I got this today @ Chadstone in store no problem. I opted for the 256gb IP8+ for an extra $10p/m. They also had a pool of gold numbers to choose from which are currently free upon request until the end of the year. I managed to get a pretty decent number 0481XXXXYY

    does anyone know if you can purchase the phone+plan online, and then activate (for commencement of the 24 months) at a later date? I still have 1.5 months left on a 12 month prepaid plan.

      I tried delaying one of my numbers for a later activation date but they can only delay it by a week or 2 I think. It's apparently automatically activated once it's delivered. I managed to delay mine for delivery by next Friday. My kogan Sim expires 23/1/18 so I'm just cancelling about 2-3 weeks early which works out to be around $10.

    Was not able to get this offer, it has now ended (despite no end date being specified). Was turned away from Optus store as well as their Customer Care sales line. Offer has been removed from their system :(

    Vodaphone was able to price match this deal. I was an exisiting customer - called and told them I saw the deal with Optus and they offered:

    $64/month
    64GB iPhone 8 Plus
    20GB + 5GB (loyalty) data
    Unlimited international calls/text
    16,000 Qantas Points

    The rep said many people had called for the same reason. They had a promo code to put in for the $59/month iPhone 8 Optus price match and a separate one for the $64/month iPhone 8 Plus Optus price match

    Tried Vodaphone phone sales - they couldn't match this but did offer 40G for $72. Was there a specific offer code mentioned ?
