S7 or keep waiting for pixel price to drop?

    • I hate the USB port on my S7 (vs the cover flap on S5 which seems now in retrospect to be good design). A usb C connector would be a big improvment…

For $10 extra you can grab Nokia 8 from Harvey Norman, which beats the S7 in several areas

      CPU is one generation better
      USB type C
      dual cameras
moar RAM same amount of RAM
      moar internal storage

downside is you lose water resistance, the heartbeat sensor and the "Touchwiz" enhancements. Although some people will have mixed reactions about Touchwiz.

wow! At the rate the Nokia 8's price is dropping, I might be able to get it for <$500 when my nexus 5x finally bootloops *fingers crossed

      • How's the interface compared to pure Google phone like pixel?

i think it's stock android, except there is additional "support" and "feedback" app. But i don't think there is any other bloatware

      • i think both have 4gb RAM

      • These comments have got me really tossing up between the S7 ($578), S8 ($695) or Nokia 8 ($597).

From how you've described it, it seems like the Nokia 8 is the best value, though I have to say I don't see it on many of the 'top smartphone' lists. Thoughts?

I would rather pay $107 more for grey stock S8. It is also 64gb

    Cheaper on Harvey Norman $578.
    I saw in store today.

Don't forget the camera in this, is the same hardware as the Razer phone - albeit with the crapton of software optimizations Samsung do to it - it's still toop tier and few beat it.

  • Not expired and available for cheaper price of $548 at Officeworks and The Good Guys.

  • How does the Samsung S7 compare with the Oppo A73 please? I know the Oppo is cheaper but seems to have a bit going for it? Correct me if i'm wrong. Thanks
