  • Can this rapid charge an iPhone X?

    • Yes, should be able to as it has USB PD tech

      • Whats USB PD tech? Ie what are the benefits? And will this deliver any benefit to a Nexus 6P?

        • yes. fast charging.

        • +1

USB-PD lets it charge USB-PD devices. These include the iPhone X, modern laptops including macbook & macbook pro and the Nintendo Switch.

        • @tanksinatra:

How much juice would it give a 2017 MacBook Pro 15”?

        • +1

          @joshuah:
It carries about 74whr of energy. The 15" MacBook Pro has a 76whr battery. It should give close to a full charge although you will lose some energy in the conversion.

It charges my 13" MacBook Pro a bit more than once.

        • @tanksinatra:

          Thanks for explaining that.

    • Sorry a bit late since it's expired now, but I have one from a previous deal and yes it does fast charge my iPhone X.

      • Thanks, i bought one.
Just wondering can it do fast charge to the iPhone x using the standard usb, or do i need to use a USB type C/Lightning cable to fast charge?

        • You'll need Apple's USB-C to lightning cable for fast charging.

        • @unco:
          great got it thanks.

  • grabbed one, cheers

  • Does it also support Qualcomm's standard?

    • +2

      Quick Charge 3.0

  • Any reps reading, more codes appreciated at this price.

  • +1

Do these charge itself rapidly if plugged into a usb-c charger?

    • +3

It says bi-directional quick charge, so if your usb-c charger supports PD or some other standard of QC, yes.

      • -1

FYI USB PD is not the same as Qualcomm Quick Charge. One is proprietary, the other is an open standard.

        • +1

          Didn't say that it was.

      • Cheers!

  • -1

The Type-C port can charge both ways right? So it knows based on what it's plugged into whether it deliver charge or receive it?

    • yea works well so far.

  • That was quick 😁

  • One annoying thing about these xiaomi batteries is that they cant seem to charge my powerbeats… For some reason the charging stops after 15 seconds.

    But otherwise.. Great battery.

  • Damn it. Missed it.

Does anyone know whether this charges the Dell XPS 13?

*For the record - my googling on this was inconclusive.

    • +1

It charges my XPS 13 9350, albeit rather slowly. Most of the time i use it to slow the drain rather than outright charge the laptop.

      • Cheers!

        • +1

Just a note; the pc will complain that the wattage isn't enough, but it'll still "charge" as long as you aren't doing anything too intensive.. i haven't tried it when gaming (not that the XPS can handle much of that).

        • @Uchuujin:

I expect I'd be looking to have it as a means of charging my laptop when it's off (such as when I'm travelling) so that should work fine.

  • +1

I just paid $63.50 for a AUKEY 30000mAh. Might be a better deal.

    • USB C?
      Link?

      • -1

I haven't got mine yet but I'm very confused on that as some reviews say USB C and others say Lighting Port…

        AUKEY 30000mAh Link

    • +3

      Does it have USB-PD?

      • Yes.

    • Will it Nintendo switch well?

  • snoozed.

  • +1

I can confirm that this can charge my Macbook Pro 15" 2016.

  • I almost get a full charge out of my 2017 Macbook pro 13" from this, charges quite fast too

  • Bought one power bank from catch - so to use the $25 voucher. good review.
On arrival, find it big as a brick. Are all the 20000 mAh the same huge size?
