Does anyone know if they have the same deal in store? I have no idea of my shirt size so need to try them on.

    • doubt the special will be in store. Probably online only (from uk), but good idea to try em on
i think there is a store on king st?
I plan on taking my to the store to refund if needed.

      • I’d really like to order some shirts from this deal and request some advice. I have recently bought some shirts from Peter Jackson, Brooks Brothers and Rodd and Gunn and the shirts are all pretty good. Any ides how T M Lewin’s compare with these brands? Thanks

        • Sorry couldn't help you with those brands (they sound expensive)
Could say that the tm lewins and CT shirts are much better then the van huesens and similar ones i use to buy from Myer.

I guess the best bet is if you can go into the store and see it for yourself (King St Sydney) then come back online and buy… since its cheaper online.

        • +1

Does Myer stock TM L shirts too?

        • +1

          Yeah Myer stocks TM Lewin.

Try asking in your store, Brisbane CBD store honoured black friday online sales even though they weren't advertised in store.

Limited range in my size. Especially the non-iron fabrics

    • -5

      non-iron is a hoax

      • +17

        non-iron is a hoax

Have you actually tried TM or CT non-iron? Weight of opinion on here would be completely against this assertion.

        • +5

I partially agree, you gotta iron it out of the washing machine, otherwise it stays wrinkled, but once it's ironed, it stays that way. YMMV though

        • +8

          @enzioFirenze:

On some of the older shirts I had to, but the new ones just need a shake before being hung to dry and there is no wrinkles.

        • @hobo88: right, I might have older ones then, sounds good mate, thanks for the tip :)

        • +5

@DJKelly Yep, I have CT non-iron and yeah.. there is no way I am wearing it to the office like that. I wash and hang to dry using a hanger but it's nowhere near ironed 'presentability'. It definitely does not wrinkle easily like other shirts but still requires ironing (albeit a quick and easy iron).

        • +1

          @hobo88:

Yep - one of my CT shirts is designated as my Monday shirt as I don't need to iron it. Others, same model but different colour, I do need to iron. Weird.

        • +1

@KevinFine: I mainly have TM non-iron and a few CT, and wash/shake/hang/dry works fine for me with all of them - no ironing, no wrinkles.

Might depend on the specific fabric or colour though I guess.

        • -1

@djkelly69: Might give TM a try as CT seems not to have changed their styling for a while now. Also my shirts may be older ones as enzioFirenze mentioned

        • @enzioFirenze:
agree, still needs an iron but much easier to do so and it stays good in the cupboard.

        • @hobo88: Everyone has varying consideration or acceptance of wrinkles though. For some, even the slightest of it is annoying. It also depends on the nature of one's job. For example, in retail banking etc, it's good to have shirts fully ironed so that even the smallest of wrinkles are gone.

        • @virhlpool:

I get ya and I'm one of those. If it had wrickle I would iron it, but 4 of them never do. I always give it a check. It might also depend on the wash cycle also. For some reason one of my pink non-iron, always needs ironing, can't work it out.

        • +1

@KevinFine: I lay the shirt on the line stretched out and held with two pegs, so it's draped over in the middle with the collar and the tail of the shirt clipped on by the pegs. Never had to iron my shirts. Then again I have quite a few shirts I have on rotation, so I can just let gravity do the work once they're dry and hung on the hanger.

      • +1

These ones can definitely be hung out to dry on a hanger and are good to go. I wear casual to work now though so t-shirts erryday.

      • I have the non-iron shirts, the key is not to spin them at too high a speed and line dry them while still fairly wet.

I haven't had to iron them once and use them every day.

      • All my non-iron TM Lewin definitely need to be ironed. But I do a customer facing job. If I was a back office/IT person it would be fine to wear.

But ask yourself, would you wear your non iron shirt straight from the washing machine and dried on a coat hanger only to your own wedding? Definitely not.

      • +2

My washing machine has a setting for hanging items, which slows the spin down to 800rpm. I find if I use this setting, and hang them as soon as the load is finished, they look fine without ironing.

    • it's weird that i still saw the ads on facebook for $40 each and plenty of sizes, probably shipped directly from the UK

      • +1

$40 deals are usually for all shirts. This deal is just on sale shirts.

  • Still waiting for my last order from over 6 weeks ago.

    • did you select click & collect? I had been waiting for my order too (pick up @ Chadstone) and didn't receive any e-mail confirmation but decided to go straight to the shop and the order had arrived the whole time.

      • I had the item shipped.

        • Same, said "shipped" but never arrived, didn't have a tracking number either, back and forth on email and they'll reship it but two ties are out of stock so need to choose new ones…

    • Usually after 2 weeks I drop them an email and its quickly fixed

      • I didn't receive my order this time.

Their customer service is very poor. First they asked me to put the items iny shipping basket and then they'll price match it. I did this twice and the second time sent them a screenshot of the items in my basket. Both times they said nothing was in my basket.

Finally they asked me to place an order and they'd refund the difference. I don't trust that they'd be able to handle that transaction so I didn't comply.

How hard is it for them just to resend my original order?

Could anyone give a size comparison for these? I tend to buy Van Heusen and MJ Bale business shirts, can anyone comment if they are similar or to size bigger/smaller in the TM Lewins?

    Thanks in advance!

  • For some reason, my cart isn't updating to show $110 for the 4 shirts. Am I doing something wrong?

    • +2

there's only limited number of designs at $27.50 so it's likely you may have added non-sale shirts

      • Ohh I see. Thanks. How do I differentiate the $27.50 shirts?

  • Oh fudge, I bought 10 shirts during their last sale when I could stack with amex deal, and this works out almost same price as before. Must stop myself. Must.

    • How could you stack with Amex deal? TM Lewin.com.au resolves to .co.uk for payment verification, and Amex didn’t honour those.

      • -1

Strange. I did four orders all came through. Went to the Aus website, even got cash rewards

  • Can vouch for non -iron. Lifesaver. Keep them in my cramped work locked and they come out crease free! Don't iromn them before taking them to work either, just remove wet from machine, shake and put on a hanger to dry.

I wish that my normal TM Lewin shirts weren't' such good quality now as I have to iron them! Shame there's not much choice in my size plus the missus will kill me as I bought a load last time, but $27.50 a shirt is nuts!

  • Wish they had more red options.

  • crap - placed order when shirts were $40 each. Can I cancel and reorder ?

  • Which ones are better in terms of fabric quality, colors and stitch fit among Charles Tyrwhitt and these?

    • CT Shirts all the way man. More formal and better collar construction.

I have 10 TM Lewin shirts and 15 CT shirts.

  • +3

Don’t forget cash rewards for 3.5% cashback!

  • Thats a fine deal on these awesome shirts. Thanks OP. So many to choose from too 😊

  • Thanks OP. That’s a great deal. I was out on a holiday in India recently and had a big shopping list including non-iron shirts, but I couldn’t find any non-iron ones for less than INR 3000 (~60AUD)!

    • Did you bargain?

      • Yep, no luck to bring down more than $10.

  • +1

I find the white shirts from TM Lewin very thin and see through somewhat, any one know which plain white shirt has the thickest texture?

    • CT has thicker cotton. Overly so, for my taste. But it does mean they keep shape when wearing them. My VH are thinner and more comfy but they make me look like a bit of a hobo as they are more floppy.

    • I'd recommend the Twill which is a thicker fabric. You could also try the Herringbone.

      • On what planet is Twill thicker than Oxford?

    • Just get Oxford.

    • Yep, I ordered 2 from the last sale and was very disappointed when they arrived. The sizing is all weird. I've been buying business shirts for decades now and I've never had a problem with sizing as I've always been the same size. These shirts arrived and the french cuffs would barely close around my normal-sized wrists. One of the shirts was almost transparent. You could see right through to my skin or singlet. When I went to Australia Post to return the shirts for a larger size and to try to find a non-transparent shirt, the postage cost $35! So beware of the crazy postage costs to the UK before dabbling into TM Lewis shirts.

  • The quality of these has gone downhill compared to about two years ago. Any one else have the same experience?

    • Yes. Stitching is loose and few stray ones. Doesn't hold up well after 10 washes.

      CT Shirts all the way

    • Yeh my collar started fraying after just couple months.

  • T. M. Lewis vs Bell and Barnett

  • Plus $10 shipping right?

    • Yea pretty lame considering

FREE standard Australia delivery on orders over $120

    • Yep. Very few sub-ten items to add to get the order over $120.

  • I went to the store in Emporium, Melbourne and the sale was in store too.
Not a large selection, but distinguishable by red 'SALE' stickers on the collar.

  • Can I please have some advice on their suit jacket, currently on sale for 99$

  • Anyone know when this ends?

  • I can return any shipment sent from the UK to any TM Lewin store in Australia right? Even womens shirts? I went to the one on Collins st and they said NO store in Australia sells womens shirts…

    • They won't refund in store. They will only facilitate the return shipping to UK. Once received, a refund will be issued.

      • So you have to pay for the return shipping then? Jeez.. what a load of crap… especially as I am wary of sizing. Many many years ago (I'm talking 10 years) I ordered a bunch and they were humongous. So I don't want to order when I can't check the size without having to pay for it!

        • I returned some shirts a few weeks ago to one of their stores for an exchange (which also has to go back to the UK) and I didn't have to pay for any return postage.

        • As Mamong said, return shipping is free. The store will organise the return shipping.

  • Wow, the sizes sell out quick! Will have to keep an eye out for the next sale

  • Can't find any good looking shirt for my size. End up bought 3 $27.5 + 1 $55 = $ 137.5 (Free shipping). At least got one that I really like.
Seem to be OK compare with $120 = $110 shirt + $10 shipping

  • Only 2 shirts in my size for $27.5 and i'd say i'm a pretty average size, one is a pretty horrible colour too. Most decent ones are $55 or $75

  • Used to buy these shirts, but now just get Nautica/Calvin/BenSherman shirts from Costco

    • Do they have slim fit?

      • Some not all

  • I love the range of choice of blue or white shirts for the super fitted range. I just can't decide.
