I got one of these from previous deal from these guys at $13.40 and now it's $9.40 - real bargain for a solid case!

They also have a plastic ABS one at for $6.71 at:

This the sensor kit too!

[Edit] - I just checked out with a few on these on the cart and the 'free postage' option is greyed out for 'a better customer experience' (BS) - I was only able to selecte postage with tracking which is a bit cheeky! Bought it anyways…

What does the :) do in this context?

        • +3

I think the :) means "yolo" in this context.

        • @ausmechkeyboards:

You guys being serious or am I that old skool? Tilt your head to the left and look at it and it’s a smiley face. It’s what we did before before emojis! :)

        • @dvddirect: How do you tilt your head?

        • +1

@FabMan: to the left, to the left…

  • Any idea about the ventilation of the case? Apparently no holes for air to flow.

    • There's 4 semi circular fan vent holes surrounding the raspberry icon.

      • +2

Where can I buy a semi circular fan ?

        • +1

It should be included with fan

        • +1

Jaycar should have them, make sure you get a centralised screwdriver to install it though.

    • There are holes. 4x holes. Curved. Very small. Fan audible. I think air flow limited by crap fan and thin holes. However pi doesn't get hot usually. There is no space to add a regukar sized heatsink to the cpu under the fan. I think it is a nice case. Look on the pictures. You will see holes in some photos. You get one with holes don't worry.

Case includes fan and screwdriver. No hestsinks

  • Where is the best place for ozbargainers to get a Raspberry Pi 3?

  • +1

Great price. I listed both of these in my post as well but worth highlighting them again. Rep says it's part of a lightning deal so it could be limited to the first 100 orders or by a certain time. @AMLagonda, check back on my post @ around 6PM AEDT as the rep will send me a new code to the the Raspberry Pi 3 for US$27.50 again.

Decent case although the fan is a little noisy - moved my pi to another room because of it

  • I have the case! its come with all the screws and a screw driver fan is nice and quiet and runs cool. Im using it to play ps1 n64 etc on it.

  • Nice looking case. Maybe I need another RPi so I have an excuse to buy another case…

Coming up as USD $ 12.99 for me. Is there something I need to do to get the $9.40 price?

  • Just bought this cheap one at Gearbest. https://www.gearbest.com/raspberry-pi/pp_425004.html Comes with heatsinks too.

    • It states for pi 1/2b

      • Fits them all supposedly. Pretty sure they have the same ports layout.

  • Case price has increased.

Get the transparent case plus the mountable fan for $9 USD and you can see you Raspberry Pi too!

    Also, CashRewards gives 5% back.

  • n/a

  • Available again, but sensor kit has increased in price.

    • ;) i set another flash deal for both item, all back now

      • Bought the case in late November, and it still hasn't arrived in Brisbane, Australia.
Would like to buy a second RaspberyPi 3, the 16 in 1 DIY sensor kit, and a case for it - but am concerned about never receiving it… (and the sensor kit is no longer at the cheap price).
