I've had a seemingly identical device. Fairly useful, though the pins can be a bit tricky (they are perhaps too short for some sockets in some countries). But more problematic was when the device suddenly went POP and spewed grey smoke. -> Bin.

Yes, these are cheap and nasty. Bought on ebay for about the same price a year ago and does not last. Don't risk damaging your device.

      • Safety hazard

Please beg vote, but I've done it for you. Fire hazard is real.

biggest issue apart from the lack of Quick Charge is the brand, or, lack thereof. Most people would't trust generic chargers to work with their expensive smartphones.

    • +1

It is not the smartphone I am worried about with generic brands. It is the fire hazard, faulty electric circuitry that concerns me

      • That's what worries me when people are buying all these generic cheap chinese chargers and battery packs. Even charging cables could tech kill you. Wasnt there on the news fatalities of those charging their phones through usb on computer and electrocuted from shoddy usb cables?

Im buying blitzwolf etc which are at least more well known. Xiaomi etc. Cheap hdmi cables or aux cables etc shouldnt kill you. But these sort of items would be worrying

After buying a USB charger for my car from overseas and having smelled it frying itself internally as I was using it, I now avoid anything that has not met the Australian standard. Not worth the saving IMHO.

    • hi,Rusty,

yes, some of the usb charges are not good with some smells.

but this one is travel brand.the quality is great when i get this sample.

if u travel often for work and pleasure and u wanted something compact and compatible to multiple countries. In addition, u wanted something that u could use to charge multiple devices at once. With the multiple usbs, this allowed u to do just that.

      • +1

I'm sorry to say it, but you can't judge the quality of the internals by its external appearance. It's meaningless.

  • How long would it take to arrive?

    • nvm

      • Hi,lifon,

        it usually takes 15 -20 days.thx

    Caution: buy at own risk.
Personally the people who buy these are the same ones who buy 99c apple charging cables.

This thing is horrible. Threw it in the motel bin during our recent holiday.
