Philips Hue Products (2 Dimmer Switches for $57.80, 2 B22 Bulbs for $151.30) + Free Delivery or Store Pickup @ Officeworks eBay

PANS30

Officeworks have a small selection of Hue products on their eBay store, all listed under Home & Garden so you can use the 30% off second item code. I noted the dimmer switches in particular as they have them for the cheapest price out of all retailers + you'd probably have more than one room that could use a dimmer!

Free shipping for orders over $55, but pretty much any combination of products will go over that threshold.

  • Any idea of the colour bulbs are 2nd gen or 3rd gen?

    • staff have no clue, there is a hint in whether the product code says MK2 or MK3. They seem to have the same barcode though in store and it's hit and miss without calling and physically asking them to look at the box

  • Good deal, but now showing "Last One". Didn't get in quick enough.

  • yeah missed out the switches. I had to google how compatible they were with Home Assistant…. turns out they aren't really that good for HA, but they are great with a MQTT system, which can be integrated to HA.

  • Dimmer switch: "Please enter a quantity of 0 or less"

    I'm currently 'Hue'ing my house.

The B22 Bayonet at Office Works is $49.95 (let's say $35 each with the 30% discount). It's $27 on Amazon AU (or at least appears to be the a very similar bulb - 10W v 9.5W both white only).

I'm annoyed my 3 year old house used Bayonet where everything seems to mostly use screw as a standard bulb (ie you can't get Hue starter packs with bayonet so I had to buy everything separately).

The White dimmable bulbs you've linked on Amazon are a fixed colour temperature (2700K from memory) and dimmable only.
The Officeworks one allows you to choose colour temperature as well, which is why it costs more.
I'm glad now I bought a large lot from Amazon UK when A buy 2 get 1 fee deal was posted a couple of weeks ago.. Paid something like half the price of Australian retail.

      • Thanks for that. Might be worth the extra few $$ then.

        • A couple of days ago I bought a Hue Bridge from Officeworks using pricebeat of Bunnings Price (88.90 vs $89). Final price $84.46. Can probably get it cheaper by importing but I wanted an Aussie power plug.
Not sure if this is a good deal, but feel free to try this if you need a Bridge. Bunnings don't seem to stock Hue in many locations though so Officeworks may refuse if you're not close enough.

        • @wizzfizz: Nah I'm good for a bridge. Bought one from Amazon UK a while back.

Just slowly buying bulbs now. I have 25 GU10s I need to buy at some point too.
