Hey Weber owners - how often does this shit go on sale? I got the family Q in a recent deal and now am of course in need of the hotplate (and wouldn't mind a cover either)
I'm trying to decide if to pay the extra $70 or so more and get the premium weber q2200 else where for the extra lid height and thermo. I plan to cook roasts mainly for only 2 people.
Is the thermo in the lid a must have for getting the roasting temp right?I'd say a wireless probe thermometer is better then a lid thermometer, you know when it's cook everytime (no calculation required).
But the bigger lid will allow for bigger chunks of meat.BCF dont sell the premium models do they ?
No they don't you have to buy it from a Weber Premium dealer. And from what I've read they don't discount the premium models.

Might try visit one of the Weber dealers tomorrow see if they can do any better then 15% off discount wise on the accessories. That way hopefully won't be much difference price wise if I do buy a premium model.

with the 15% off the accessories also seem like a better deal than Ebay sellers etc. Thinking the generic ebay 20% off sales are probably slightly better than this deal
I ended up going to the Weber store brought the q2200 for RRP $439 and a fair few accessories. Managed to get them to take %15 off accessories after they only offered 10% off. Mentioned BCF and asked the lady if she'll do any better then went on with a rant! About been a small personal business blah blah… Was actually a bit rude torwards me after asking if she could do better

Was close to telling her to stick it and going else where.OK thanks. Decided to just get one from BCF ( standard model ) and picked up the Temp probe also which I think will be more usefull than the lid guage. Would prefer the higher lid of Premium model but cant justify the extra expense right now
