Sonoff = AUD $ 3.82 if USD is selected on Dresslily and paid via fee-free credit card via Paypal in USD

    • +1

Even cheaper than that at USD$3.08 if you convert to USD on Dresslily first. Paid via PayPal in usd, =aud $3.82 on my 28 degrees card (checked online).
      Before, on GB pound, was coming out at $4.12. And I bought 6 at that price… Lost 30c x 6 = $1.80.
I feel like I let down the OzBargain community.

    • When I first looked, I thought it said "Sodoff" :O

    • How would you use this switch ?
From its pics it looks like you will have to patch this up with the internal electrical wiring to your appliance.
So, first you will need a licensed sparky to do it - and I wonder if they will even do it if this switch isn't upto Aussie standards ( I don't know if it is or not)?

      • -1

        LED lights

  • doesn't matter how many things you buy, those points don't go down

Cool, will give it a crack. Cheers.

    • +5

      will give it a crack.

      that will void the warranty.

      • Customs Dogs 🐶 will be all over it anyway.

      • Depends on the crack.

  • IKEA sells cheap screw-to-bayonet adapters.

    • Not anymore I believe… they have stopped selling it. I had to get one on eBay for about $3 delivered

      • +1

I don't know where you get yours from but 1 for $3 seems a tad expensive

      • +1

According to the nice man at IKEA, they're banned in Victoria only. He said to get them on eBay and then tuck rolled into the next isle for dramatic effect.

    • is there AC outlet AU-plug to E27 adapters ?

Uses SMD LED's - my experience is that bulbs with SMD's don't last. Also, you may find that you can't use it outside if it has tiny holes for cooling. I used a cheap LED bulb outside once (with ventilation holes), and when I replaced it due to its brightness failing I noticed the wires inside had become completely corroded to the point of being hazardous.

    • +1

smd is the tiny yellow square type right ?

what other led types other than smd ? diode ?

      • +1

CoB: Chip on Board. A single LED chip instead of multiple. Uses less power, too.

    • +1

Second that. I got about 6 months from mine; and they don't like be knocked about.

  • +2

850 Lumens from 15W is not very efficient.

    • Don't trust too much Chinese Lumens and Watts :)

    • The sensor circuit probably saps off a bit.

  • +1

Thanks to op. Good buy. Mine came out at about $aud2.78. Is there a way to pay in $usd..couldn’t see on site page. Also bought 3 b22 to e27 adaptors as most Aussie fittings are b22. Also handy as Aldi always have clearance lights of the e27 variety. Can now buy some of them😀

    • +1

Didn't work for me on mobile you have to open it up on your desktop and hover over the price then choose USD currency.

  • +1

Unfortunately these bulbs dont last too long

  • Thanks. Just purchased the switch. Found conversion change on my iPad by going to 3 horizontal lines at left top of page. Will try your method next time😀

  • I wonder how these work behind a frosted light.

    Specifically these bad boys

  • You're brave purchasing a light bulb from China. 3 weeks of transit and then Australia Post gets let loose on them. I hope they're packaged well.
