    Those specs are actually decent.

  • Yep, got one from a previous deal. Good deal as an oversea spare phone or use it as a hotspot. Really can't complain for this price tag.

    • Laggy??

      • It works. Just don’t expect the iPhone/google pixel user experience. I am running a game on that phone, a bit laggy. I would still recommend this phone.

        • Thanks.

I have an Alcatel Pop 5 4G from a previous deal. Less memory and laggy as hell. Has left a bitter taste in my mouth. I managed to hack adoptable storage onto it, but wiped it since as a backup for the wife. May have to do that again and save myself some money.

  • Not as good as previous deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/350868

  • I bought this; it still has the same problems as the notorious $19 Alcatel Pixi 3.

The screen is not responsive all the time, sometimes when you tap the screen, it will put in the wrong letter. It is better to swype but sometimes even this doesn't work well. There is a workaround I found though, you need to turn the screen off and then back on. I think it's something wrong with the digitizer layer.

I'm currently using it to run a few bots, since I would probably go mad if I used it as an all day. Casual hotspotting should be alright.

Reminds me of some older phones like Huawei X1 which also had a very poor digitizer layer.

    • I found a lot of these cheap android sold here having a similar screen sensitivity issue. But,in my opinion, it is generally solved with the swiping when typing. Probably, it is because the screen is plastic, thus, it is not that sensitive? Other than this problem, this phone is just about the right price for the spec.

      • I've found cheaper screens don't have anti-dirt layer, causing build up of grime which screws with the digitiser.

        • I'm planing on buying this phone tomorrow because right now i have a huawei y6 elite that only has 1gb ram, 8gb of storage and android lollipop. Reading some of your comments i'm not so sure now. Should i spend a little bit more on a better phone like a nokia 3 or moto e4? I only need a phone that doesn't crash every time i have 3 or more apps open.

        • @Mr Shooty: I would recommend redmi note for under $199
