I want to go just to see if it’s a slide presentation from OzB posts and them saying…

“Do the exact opposite of what these guys say… Thanks for coming tonight…”

  • Aren't your rights & Options already on the infringement notice?

Don't infringe or put false plates on. Simples

    • Doesn't always work though. Plenty of times over the years where I've had to break the speed limit or go onto the wrong side of the road to avoid a dangerous situation. The road rules are there to keep everybody safe and not to be a replacement for using your eyes and brain on the roads. Most fines are there simply to raise taxes…etc etc, I'm sure you've heard it all before. I'd go to the seminar if I lived in Melbourne so nice to see some legal experts pointing out the options fro those who have been unfairly or gratuitously targeted.

Plenty of times over the years where I've had to break the speed limit

when Mrs Altomic went into labour with our first I sped (only 10kms over the limit in a 60 zone with no other traffic - it was 3am) hoping the police would pull me over so I could use the "wife in labour" excuse.

        didn't happen.

        tried 2 more times.

not worth having babies just to try to get out of a speeding ticket….

Is 3 really a big enough sample size to rule it out?

        • My one required us to go to hospital in peak hour, so no speeding here.

Get the Xiaomi Smart Plates. A four-sided licence cube with your choice of letters and numbers. I'm going for:
      BAND28
      FINEMI
      BARGND
      NOTRRP

Expect a deal posted soon by someone who "negotiated a deal" with gearbest that's limited to 100 units and expires within 30 minutes.

      • 'FINE'MI … gold
best with a winking swine emoji next to it

      Fixed

  • Yeah, seems like a reasonable idea. I'm sure there are some fines that are a bit dubious. Can't hurt for people to be aware of their rights though.

  • Can't wait to sue @OP when I get a fine and wind up having to pay it.

I even contacted the ACCC like they said! Scam! I want a refund, and I've got the ACCC on speed-dial so you know I'm serious.

(Wait, is speed-dial still a thing?)

I'll see you in court, @OP!!!!

UnAustralian! Mabo! Vibe! Outrage! Shock! Horror!

  • just pay the bloody fines dont need to tight arse trying to fool the system or fight back.
