      How is one to tell if they are 1.4, as 1.3 will do 3D anyhow… maybe you have a 4K projector?

        1.4 spec has the official 3D support, as well as ethernet. 1.3 isn't certified for 3D.

          for cables it makes no difference.

          Any "high speed" cable will support 3D.

          Under the HDMI guidelines there is not even supposed to be any cables marketed as 1.4.

          It is either "high speed" which includes most 1.3 cables or "high speed with ethernet"

          "Adopters may no longer use HDMI version numbers in the labelling, packaging, or promotion of any cable product. This is effective immediately for any references to the HDMI Specification Version 1.4,"

          The only difference between a 1.3 cable and so called 1.4 cable is ethernet support!

    The different colour connectors are a great idea (I never remember which is which). Dealbreaker for me is that I need different lengths, inputs are on the same side of the TV, although the my devices sit in the shelves underneath. Something like a pack of 1, 2 and 3 metre cable in different colours would be great (and unique). Surely this is a problem for more people where inputs are all in the same place on the left (or right) of their TV's.

      That is a good idea… colour coded and different lengths… though for most people 1.8m-2m is enough, but 1 x 2m, 1 x 3m and 1 x 5m would have been good.

    Great price, positive vote - however would like to see longer length options due to having a wall mounted LED and running the cables through the wall. 1.8M just isn't long enough unfortunately, 3M would be awesome.

    just a general question - is anyone using this on their ps3 slim? it seems to heating up a fair bit having a metal case at the connector. I know this is an issue about where the hdmi plugs into (right at the exhaust fans) but would having a plastic cable stop this?
    (and when i say heating up i mean pretty damn hot)
