The 2GB is available for new and existing customers btw.

  • do they provide roaming service?

    • +3

No international access whatsoever unfortunately. They use the Vodafone network.

      • +1

Weird, as V/F is all over Europe, most popular going

        • +1

You only get the $5 pd roaming if you go through Voda directly.
          Kogan is just a reseller

Don’t forget to stack $20 & $30 vouchers for extra saving. Check eBay.

      • hmm… says only one voucher per transaction… :(

        • I have stacked $10 referral, $20 voucher and $30 voucher literally last Friday (2nd Feb) and it worked fine for me.

        • I stacked last week, $20 and $30 voucher, all good

        • trying out for my cousin later on, all 3 gift card/voucher for discount works?

        • @pennypincher98: are the vouchers emailed?

        • @LXE3: Depends where you buy/get them :) They are emailed from Dominos and the like. Were sent by PM when I bought them here :)

        • @pennypincher98: where did you buy them? The ones on EBay have just been majorly price jacked!

        • +1

@LXE3: I bought mine on here - classifieds section for an insanely good price of $5! Saw one selling for $9 today or yesterday.

        • @pennypincher98: I got a $30 for $3 and a $20 for $5 but they’re $16 now!!

        • @LXE3: Wow they have been jacked something shocking!!

        • +1

@pennypincher98: I was lucky enough to find at $50 one of Gumtree for $10

      • Yes. Used those for recent recharges.

        • +1

Does that mean, If I use this ebay voucher?

          I can get 6gb 365 days plan for ($205.60-$50) + $10 = $165.6

        • +1

          @jubz:
Yes. Buy the $20 and $30 vouchers. Some advertise as $50 off.

Get this one and comes with a Free 🍕

        • @Steptoe: So if i buy $50 off 120 credit for $8.90 - can i stack the $20 voucher i got from QANTAS?

        • @Steptoe:

Appreciate your quick reply, thank you.

Just confirming, I buy this three voucher. It will deduct $150 which will make ($205.30-$150) +$27 = $82.60

Sorry to be a noob, but just want to clear before I buy. Thanks.

        • @Gavman:
No. If you have a $20 Voucher, buy the $30 Voucher for $2.99 on eBay.
          https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/SUPER-DEAL-Kogan-30-Off-120-Spen…

          $50 off is two vouchers stacked $20 + $30.

        • @jubz:
No. Can only stack one $20 and one $30 Voucher. Also can add $10 referral credit.

        • @Steptoe: Sweet thanks for confirming! i guess i gota weigh up if extra 20$ voucher for next time and free pizza voucher is worth the extra 6 bucks

        • @Steptoe:

Thanks, got it now. My current deal is expiring 20 Feb. Can I add this deal now and will my plan get extended? I'm on 23 GB plan but want to get the new 6 GB as I don't use much internet. Any thoughts?

        • @jubz: No. u should wait until ur current plan expires on the 20th… then activate the new one (expires 30 apr 18)

        • @Gavman:

Thanks for clarifying. Should I buy it now and then recharge after 20th? or do I have to wait to buy until 20 Feb before my current plan expires?

        • Buy it now, doesnt matter. They email u the voucher/code within 10 mins. keep it until u need to recharge. U could technically sell it if for whatever reason u didnt need it before u recharge with it. It (6gb one) expires 30th April so ample time to decide.

        • @Gavman:

Excellent. Thanks. I will order one now.

        • Please remove mods

        • @Steptoe: is there a reason we can’t stack 2 $30 vouchers?

        • +1

          @iShibby: probably T&C related.

        • @jubz:

          Hey Jubz,
This will not extend your plan. You're better off recharging when the voucher is about to expire.

    • Does it work? Mine is due next month - was going to cancel and buy new account since it was cheaper as a new account last month.

      • Yes it does. Just recently did it.

    • sold out and price incease…

    • Do these coupons still exist in the market and do they stack?

  • +1

My existing 2GB plan expires 05/06/2018. This voucher expires 30/04/2018. Anybody know if I can add the voucher to my account before the plan expires and not lose those five weeks? Can't remember if it was Kogan or ALDI, but last time I recharged somebody's account with a 12 month voucher they ended up losing 2 months, because the voucher erased whatever existing credit was left on the account.

    • +2

I lost a month of my 1yr plan last weekwhen i added a new 1yr plan. Called up kogan and they are going to credit me back for the lost time.

      • Thanks for that GrTea, I might buy this voucher for me and my wife then contact Kogan for a credit if it doesn't happen automatically. Even if I don't get the credit, the 40% saving isn't too bad.

        • When recharging there is a tick box asking if you want to automatically recharge on expiry. I think it means on expiry of the plan you are signing up for, not on the plan that you are currently on.

  • +7

Buy a 32G plan for $7.9 and become existing customer to purchase above discount annual plan.

    • This. I did this last year when my contract was coming to an end, savings have been great!

      • +1

Yeah, so Kogan is really great for loyalty existing customers and SMART new customers :)

  • +2

Buy the woolies egift card through cashrewards. Then use the egift card to buy Kogan vouchers to pay for the plan. Save approx 5%. :)

  • +5

+1 for Kogan making a deal (and a good one at that) for existing customers. Good to see some telco's actually care about loyalty.

  • +1

BTW it says "existing customers" but you can probably get a 1 month SIM then add this voucher to it just before the 1 month expires. Don't quote me on that though, it's just an idea which needs investigation:

  • +2

Don't forget that you might have bought kogan vouchers from the 15% off ebay deal

    • +1

      almost completely forgot about that

  • Who provides the mobile service for Kogan?

  • +1

The 2GB Small plan you linked to expires on:Voucher expires at 11:59pm AEDT on 28/02/2018 unlike the others.

  • +1

Get fkd. Haha just expired today and was desperate so bought the $15.00 2gb plan for 30 days. Knew there was gonna be another deal. Didn't know literally an hour after I bought it was the time. Hopefully I can cancel and credit it to the new plan.

    • why didn't you get the 32GB for $7.90?

      • Existing customer

        • didn't wanna do the port out and back in inconvenience?

        • @CVonC: yep needed it immediately.

  • my current prepaid plan expires around march. im off overseas for a month after that so there's no need for me to have a kogan sim active while i'm gone.. what happens when my prepaid credit expires. does my sim just sit there inactive and then when i add a voucher a month later, it's all good?

I just don't want to lose my mobile number which i've had since the beginning of time.

i could then use this voucher when i get back.

    • After 90 days ya number is taken off you. 20 days you can still receive calls

  • free spotify streaming?

    • Nope

    • Nope, but I was actually surprised how little data my Spotify streaming uses - I listen all the time and I only use 2GB of data on it per month. I guess it caches the music locally etc.

  • How many vouchers can you use per transaction? Is there a limit of 2?

    • I think you can’t use two of the same vouchers, hence the common $20 and $30 stack

  • Spent the last 10 months wondering if i'd get another deal like this when i had to renew. I'm in luck ☺

    • $12.90PM for 6GB / unlimited. cant go wrong!

These are really (profanity) bad deals compared to the Amaysim Groupon deal.

I see these pop up a lot and they're really not that good (Kogan yearly).

    • +5

      Yes, but:
      a) Amaysim Groupon hasn't popped up for ages (at least that I've been aware of)
      b) Amaysim leave you in the ditch after 3 or 6 (deal dependant) 28 day periods. They then make you leave and come back if you want any other deals.

Kogan reward existing customers with surprisingly good rates for the year.

  • Sweet, anyone using kogan mobile can confirm coverage and quality of data ?

Been using 90day prepaid packages from voda until now.

    • +7

Been on kogan for 11 months now.. no issues. decent indoor coverage too which was a problem with voda service a few years ago

      • Thanks 👍

        • BTW Im in Melbourne.. cant vouch for other areas/states

    • +1

Have been with them for more than 2 years, no issues at all in Brisbane.

    • +1

Kogan just resell access to the Vodafone network, so if you're already with Vodafone, your coverage and data access should be identical to what you're already using.

    • +1

If Voda works well for you then Kogan just resell it so the coverage will be the same.

    • Sorry but i have poor gps reception after moving from dodo. Don't know if thats my phone orthe network.

      • GPS has nothing to do with the network.

  • Unfortunately I didn't know Kogan sims can't be used with my apple watch :O

  • +1

Recently moved the wife from Telstra to Kogan on the $4.95/month trial I think I was posted here.

Is it as simple as buying this plan (say the large?) paying upfront and then she is set for the year?

Coming from post paid to pre paid everything is different!

    • +1

Yes. As simple as you state. You just recharge using a Voucher Code in the App.

  • Is there any difference between the reseller access to VF network to the actual VF network? Like for instance Aldimobile VS Telstra

  • I'm currently with Aldi mobile yearly which expires on 2/03. Can I purchase this voucher and activate and port over end of Feb? I will buy the $7.50 Sim deal temporarily so I can take advantage of this deal though.

  • Has anyone tried to get this without being an existing customer? I know sometimes Kogan doesn't check and new customers can take advantage of these deals.

    • +2

I just tried the voucher says invalid!
Doesnt work so i buy the $7.90 for 32gb promo and use this for next months recharge.

      • thanks

  • +1

Been waiting for this to come up. My previous 365 day 'plan' expires late March.
    Ordered, thanks :)

The voucher email does seem to state it will work for new customers, but cant confirm:

"If you are a new Kogan Mobile customer, visit the Activation Centre to redeem your voucher. Simply enter it under the heading "Got a Voucher?" at the "Choose Plan" stage of activation. You will need a Kogan Mobile SIM Card.

If you are already a Kogan Mobile customer, simply login to your account, click recharge, choose your plan type, then enter your voucher. You will not need a new SIM Card."

  • So I think I've got this worked out.

I'm an existing customer but want to port over two more phones. I can buy this 6gb 365 days twice and activate two new sim cards am I right? With each of those sim cards I port over existing phones numbers.

No issues? I think I recall seeing an option when activating the sim card that you can have a max. of 5 activated sim cards per account?

    Thanks!

    • Not sure you could use two lots of discount vouchers that way though
