  • does anyone know how this hisense compares to the TCL 65” 65C2US Premium Ultra HD Smart TV with regards to picture quality based on what they've seen at the shops. i'm concerned with back light bleeding issues from some of the TCL reviews. dunno which one to get.

Everything I've seen puts the N7 pretty much at the top of OzBargain's list of bang for your buck tellies.

I have the Hisense M7000 (practically the same TV as the N7) and it has been great. Only minor letdown was the firmware updates but the N7 should address this. I was shocked when I got it and noticed no bleeding/dirty screen effect where most of my previous TVs (a Samsung and a Sony) had it to varying degrees. Family also got the M7000 and didn't have any notable bleeding. Can't say for certain with a sample size of 2 but I wouldn't have a problem recommending the Hisense :)

      • thanks mate. that's good to know. how's the sound quality? i was hoping not to use my sound bar.

        • Sound quality is so-so, as per most mid-range TVs. I use a surround system with it. Depends what your use case is I guess. It'd be fine for watching TV but for movies and shows you might want something a bit more

        • I ditched our 2 month old Sony HT-800 2.1 sound bar when I got this TV as the TV has better sound.

The Hisense is a much much better TV… honestly the picture quality is THAT good. The only downside I can think of is maybe the interface is a little slow to navigate through compared to the Samsung or LG, but for the price you pay… its seriously bang for your buck. Picture quality is amazing (I have the 58" N5 I think it is).

TCL is more compariable to Soniq and the likes. Aldi TVs are probably even worst.

      • +2

TCL is no where near Soniq. It's very close to Hisense, however I'd go Hisense purely cos I see a lot of owners here and on Whirlpool, where as TCL don't own as much of the market, so harder to find user experiences etc.

  • Aldi 75" is around the same price. Anyone had experience with the Aldi TV? is it worth it or should just get a better quality 65" ?

    • +11

The Hisense will take a dump on the Aldi in terms of PQ, usability, and durability. Up to you. I personally would go the Hisense. Just sit a bit closer to make up for the size difference :)

I got this TV late last year for around $1550 from Videopro. Absolutely love it.

    "Posting to: Australia
Excludes: Northern Territory, Perth Metro, WA Regional, SA Regional, WA Remote, PO Box"

    Boooooo!

    • +3

couldn't they have just said excludes WA and NT?

Is Videopro good and reliable? How well do they do delivery?

    • +2

I've had really good experiences with them. I bought this same TV from them late last year. It was shipped from QLD to NSW via TNT in under a week. Had some wonky light bleed and panel issues and they let me upgrade it to a sony X9000e they had on special. Thumbs up.

  • Hmm this or the Sony X8500E?

Any chance JB Hi-Fi would price match?
Got some gift vouchers need to get rid of…

    • I doubt they would with the 20% off but hey no loss in trying. :)

      • was in JB and they wouldn't match.

        • Thanks Tonyusq, saves me the time checking

Well I am the owner of a 55C2US and i was worried about the forum posts. That is until i got my tv.

Bang for buck it is fantastic!

No backlight issues. Even tested on youtube against backlight tests.

I also viewed the Hisense but the lack of Android was a massive minus.

The picture is great, haven't got the bandwidth to test 4k but based on 1080 i reckon it would be superb. Also it has a built in soundbar which makes the sound above your average tv and means i dont need an additional soundbar

Plus i only paid $715 on an Ebay deal. Ifyou can get one for cheap, I say GO FOR IT

    • Amazing features for sure. Unfortunately I got 2 with the backlight issue so didn’t go a 3rd. A shame because it was packed full of good stuff. I think if you get lucky enough to get one without the backlight bleed, great tv for the price.

  • Tried to buy this but no delivery to Perth Metro. Bummer. Video Pro, can you help with this?

  • What would be the advantage of this vs a Samsung for under $200 more?
