  • Thanks OP, I was looking at these in the online Costco coupons this morning. They look like good value because I know the ones at Bunnings <$100 are generally cheaply made and don't look/feel like they'd last.

Is there any chance you could report back once you've installed and used it a few times please? I'm curious to hear how you find it.

More important though, how were the figs?

    • +1

Lol cant complain about the fig compare the price of the fresh one, by the way love the tiger auto vacuum jug.

  • ….

    • btw your receipt says

       H/LOCK 25M AUTO RL
       42427 1x 99.99

Are you sure the price is not $99,99 as opposed to 79.99

not as good as the $59 deal for these back in the day at masters (pre liquidation too!). I still have a spare. Good units. No complaints.

not as good as the $59 deal for these back in the day at masters

True, but that was 2014. And it didn't help Masters. I got mine from that deal and they work very well.

    • Yep masters was awesome. Got mine from the same deal. Even though it didn’t help them in the end….their competition certainly helped the consumer. Wish someone else would come in to shake things up and succeed this time.

How was the poppycock, was there much cock?

  • +1

I had a 30m unit that failed just out of 2 year warranty (they now give 5 years apparently) they won't repair it and don't provide spare parts, only option was to buy a brand new unit from them at a "discounted price" rest of hose was in perfect condition.

I bought a new reel but it wasn't a hozelock

  • I bought it when it was $99 at Costco (cheap compared to Bunnings) a few weeks ago and it is working well. Found it $20 cheaper on Saturday and bought another one for the front yard. Easy installation especially if installing onto wood, like a sleeper wall.

    • You can probably try to claim the price difference back if it’s only a few weeks.

      • Have you successfully done this at Costco? I've bought stuff only to frustratingly find it's on their next round of coupons.

        • Yes but not recently though. I have read in other forums of people doing it so I guess it depends on the value of the savings vs your time :)

        • I've done this plenty of times and they refund no questions asked. You don't even need to have the receipt if you can't locate it as all is tracked on your card.

        • @carlenet: Just to clarify, you've had the difference refunded? i.e. not bring the item back for a full refund and then purchase the item again at a lower price.

        • @eediot: I’ve had the difference refunded.

Just a heads up, there's no stock in Costco Crossroad, NSW. They are offering raincheck though.

  • All Costco stores in Melbourne have pallet loads of these
But would be good if they had the 50mtr ones like I got at masters $89
