"Buy 2 books & receive 30% off, 3 books & receive 35% off, 4 books & receive 40% off until Wednesday December 15 2010."

This was in the "Shortlist" marketing email sent out to Borders v.i.p. members today.

"Terms & Conditions: *Exclusive Christmas v.i.p. offers applies to multi buys on full priced books only. "Great Price" stickered products are already discounted. Offers cannot be combined with "Great Price" stickered pricing, sale pricing, promotional offers or other coupons. If a product is already discounted, the customer is offered the best price option. Discount excludes CDs, movies/DVDs, Gifts & Toys, Paperchase, Gloria Jeans, Typo, newspapers, magazines, bookazines, magazine subscriptions, gift cards, journals & diaries, vouchers, previous purchases, non-stock special orders, eReaders, iPods and MP3 players.Duplicate copies of the same coupon cannot be used in one transaction. Void where prohibited by law. Any other use constitutes fraud. Not redeemable for cash. Valid on presentation of valid Borders v.i.p. card. Valid in Borders Australia stores only until 15/12/2010 and cannot be redeemed online."

I joined the Borders v.i.p. club online earlier this week, & was issued a card immediately in one of their stores the next day. So anyone should be able to join up, get a card & enjoy this offer if they are interested.

  • These vouchers are getting worse…A month of two ago, there was a "40% off one book" voucher, now you have to buy 4 books to get the same discount.

    • I first got an email about this same deal (buy 4 books get 40% off) several xmases back under their old club. I needed some computer programming books for work & as they were around $100 each , I saved a heap. Boy was I happy. Borders are the only store near me that stock a decent range of computer books so it was perfect.

Every xmas since I have been sent this offer again by email. I think this is the 4th year now.

The 40% off one book offer was only valid for one book purchase so for me this was better. (Suppose you could always print multiple copies of the 40% off one book voucher though…)

      • This voucher has its use, like in the situation you recounted. For those who are unlikely to purchase 4 books at the same time, though, the 40% off one book voucher is more versatile.

  • +1
  • thanks for the booko link.

    Its a great site.

  • Good deal when buying four full priced books. Its ashame however "Valid in ..stores only … cannot be redeemed online.”
