Refer to previous discussions for clarity.

What the hell?? I really hope you're not being serious but I get an impression you might drive a white van with no windows..

Next thing there'll be a points system and you'll have to log with a score out of 10 how clear the passageways are afterwards.

@pennypincher98: BRB, making an app called Ruter. It's like Uber for your roots. Driver and passenger rating system, and if you get lower than 3 stars average you get kicked off the circuit.

Next thing you know your one night stands come with a free bottle of water and the radio station of your choice.

          @Parentheses: oh LOL

+1 for creativity, there's probably quite a market for this in certain regions! Haha wow..

        • @pennypincher98:
          Is this about plane travel?

    • Dont worry the app sends out a tweet everytime the machine roars to life.

  • How do i know if it fits my toilet?

    • +1

Have a look at the description in ebay, it has lots of mounting point measurements, maybe that will help.

  • +2

How many of the drones that voted for this crap will actually buy it..

    • +16

Technology must be moving quickly if drones can order this..

    • I though drones deliver, not order…

    • +1

Not buying on this deal, but when we start building a house these are going in.

  • That reminds me of the episode from Better Call Saul. The guy trying to get copyrights for such a thing

  • Cold-hot Massage Washing Function

Well I can't imagine them water jets would be gentle on me nuts

  • +3

Uses Xiaomi Mi Powerbanks to charge and propel water to your genitals and anal areas.

  • Is anyone a plumber here? Are these legal to be installed?
I wanted to use Luxe Bidet but the plumber wouldn’t install it nor extend a water connection for me to install it myself.

    • Generally the main problem is to have a clean area as you have to get pretty close to the toilet bowl to install all the parts. Shouldn't be illegal at all if you aren't wiring up anything. Used a cheapo bidet that I got for $20 here that came with a T-Connection and the plastic tubing to connect it. Did the Luxe have these parts as well?

    • +15

Plumber here. These are not legal to install for a few reasons. Firstly they don't carry the watermark, a certification that any product connected to the same pipes your drinking water connects to must have. Secondly anything involving water outlets this close to human waste requires certified backflow prevention. Thirdly xiaomi has a history of not complying with Australian electrical standards either, so would not be surprised is this did not have the appropriate certification.

That been said, install it yourself, have some common sense about supplying the power, have a half decent immune system, don't tell insurance if worst case sensation happens ect. Also pretty sure toto bidet seats are legal to install in Australia.

      • Thanks for the reply.
I guess certification was the problem there. I bought it from USA Amazon.
No electric connections required and has backflow prevention.
Still pretty crazy that he wouldn’t terminate the tap connection near toilet once I told him about what I was going to do with it.

        • +2

          No problem.
Some plumbers are overly cautious. Some are defensive of the trade and don't want home handy man doing any diy work.
You can get into trouble for doing the wrong thing so it's case by case for me personally when I do questionable work.
Might have caught him on a bad day.

    • +3

Most plumbers probably won't do it unless it has Australian certification which most from overseas are unlikely to have - it's not about whether it works/is safe or whatever, it's about them covering themselves/their business by only installing certified parts.

Not too hard to install yourself though, just get a Y adapter from Bunnings (https://www.bunnings.com.au/kinetic-15-x-15mm-chrome-plated-…) to split your existing single fitting into two, and the rest is fairly easy.

    • "no need batary"

So much for my hope that this would clean up all the batter/spaltter caking the place.

  • What connections does it need ?

    • +4

It needs 240 volts for starters….. I have never seen a toilet in Australia with a powerpoint at "bowl height".

      • I’m thinking more about the water connection

        • That would be easy…. china uses (as I think does all the world) 1/2" BSP threaded connectors. You'd just need an adapter that converts one BSP thread to two (commonly used when installing a dishwasher or water filter to existing fittings).

      • So just plug it into the wall socket above the toilet. I have 2 free slots near my toilet.

        • +1

That's generous of you. But what state do you live in? (Not sure there'd be any volts left after I find an extension cord that long.)

        • @GregMonarch:

          Norfolk Island

    • Male and female.

      • +2

They just use a splitter off the inlet to the toilet.

  • +2

Are these legal to be installed?
Plumber wouldn’t install the ones that fit in the seat (Luxe Bidet) or extend the tap connection for me to do by myself.

    • -1

Are these legal to be installed?

Do you really think we could care less if the council said they were illegal? This is a matter of hygiene and health for many people.

      • Insurance and willingness to do the right thing. It should have backflow prevention else faecal matter could enter drinking water supply.

      • Health insurance won't pay up if it damages your butt!

      • 😂😂😂😂

    • Lazy plumber

      • +1

is there such thing as a plumber who isn't lazy?

        • +1

          And still earns $150k…

    • I accidentally doubled up on the question.
      Somebody above replied

  • +1

JV definitely needs one of these.

  • +1

Are these able to pump water through to actually cool the water? Today for example the water coming through my 'cold' taps starts at 60 degrees unless I run it for a few minutes. I would not want to use that temperature in a bidet.

    • Not particularly designed for (the hot part of) Australia

    • wrap some ice packs around the pipes

    • +1

2 options. Flush first and the cistern will fill with the hotter water, or run your sink tap to cool it down.
Use a cheaper version after reading discussions on these from previous posts to fist see if its worth the outlay. So far, I'm happy with the one i have.
Cheap one also has a nozzle clean function, so hot water could be directed there initially as well

  • +8

We value cleaning our hands with water, but aussies will only wipe their dirty behind with dry toilet paper. Go figure. Even public restrooms in Japan have these kinds of toilets. At least they value cleanliness.

    • +1

Switching to baby wipes has got to be one of the best things ever.
