  • "We give you access to tickets for free - and all you pay is the admin fee."
come on, alrady VIP still need to pay. whats the meaning of VIP…..

    • Movie tickets and Premium event tickets are only made available to VIP Members.

A double pass to a movie preview would cost you $40 at the box office.
When we release movie preview tickets to our VIP the only cost is the admin fee which is generally around $6.95 and includes your 2 tickets.
So rather than pay $40 for 2 movie tickets all our VIP members pay is the one off $6.95 admin fee - Saving is $33.05

Understood, but admin fees should be waived off for VIPs at least if not for common people.

        • +3

So then we get free membership, and they give us free tickets?

Not sure how you think that's a reasonable business model…

        • -3

          @Spackbace:

As if every deal on OzBargain is reasonable for the seller! Come on, mate.. VIPs deserve a pure deal.

    • if you look at the website there are premium events which are usually shown in blue rather than green. The blue ones are only available to VIP members.

Thanks OP. No idea if I'll ever use it, but we'll see.

Didn't even realise mine was expired

Time to be a new member… (I'm sure you don't mind rep, means we'll still buy shit!)

(edit - code successfully applied to my current account. Not sure if bug, or just something you don't wanna advertise. Either way, thanks!)

    • Tried on my existing membership (which had also expired), but no luck.

      Had to create new :(

      same here

      Congratulations
      You have registered for

We have got quite a bit of value out of Promotix (I have a freebie VIP membership already). Haven't seen a lot of the VIP shows but we have seen a lot of other ones; particularly comedy shows. Saw Peter Berner headline a show last week and his set was hilarious. My stomach muscles ached from laughing so much. It cost us about $6 to cover the booking fee and that gave us roughly 2 hours of various comedy acts for 2 people. With the Comedy festival coming up it is a great time to get tickets for some of the tryout shows.

  • Thanks OP, got a free VIP (blue) membership but who knows if I'll use it. Maybe for movies?

    • +2

yes you'll get to watch blue rated movies now. :D

      • Woohoo xD

        • huge upgrade from colourless movies dont you think?

        • @dragonindespair: Yeah exactly! I hope there are some red ones as well so I can watch them with my old fashioned 3D glasses :)

You have exceeded the maximum number of uses

Time to create a new account!

  • Is this an automatic renewal system that will charge for the next year or can you claim your free year and be done?

    • free and done.

    • My profile says "manual" for the renewal; so I, presume, I would need to manually renew.

    • Awesome, thanks guys

      • After a year is up, it just drops you back to the free (green) membership.

  • Tried using for my old account says “You have exceeded the maximum number of uses”

  • What's the difference between the VIP membership and the "Access All Membership"?

I managed to sign up and it says I'm a VIP, but when I try to click on any member offers it comes up with "Upgrade to a All Access Membership? Join to save from 50% to 100% on events"

  • Cheap valentines day sorted…

  • Done, gotta love a freebie. Cheers

  • Hi I never used this site before but I have signed up.

I logged in and went to Events, NSW. But I cannot find any events aside from an expired molly's game season double pass. What am I doing wrong?

Do i need to wait until something becomes available and am I notified via email or do you have to keep checking the site?

    • New events coming up in NSW soon. Offers come in waves throughout the year. We will email NSW members to announce new releases :)

  • All I can see is a bunch of comedians (?) trying out their material on people that won’t even pay to be there. AWESOME.

  • +2

No idea what I've signed up for, but I got it.

  • This special was also on last year. I saved heaps $ on outings. Love it

  • Already a member, so the free upgrade is most welcome. Looking forward to using it.

  • Did littlebirdytix close?

  • +3

2nd year subscriber here. I think this is great! Especially for Adelaide-ans. Fringe is here now!

  • Thanks

  • Thanks OP. Managed to screw up the sign up and got my $35 refunded. Excellent customer service A+++

  • I am in QLD, the only events listed are 3 previews for movies that I wouldn't consider worth paying to see. Has anyone else used them before in QLD for much else?

    • Our events come in waves throughout the year so at the moment there are a lot of shows on offer in SA and VIC, but that constantly changes.
In Queensland we predominantly have tickets on offer to movie previews and in-season passes to films year round.
      I hope that helps.

  • Thanks. the upgrade worked, now all to do is wait till something is available in NSW. What’s the chances of getting Easter Show tickets here ? 🤔

  • Code already expired?

Got "This discount code is not currently active. Past" when trying to apply the code.

  • Just used it - still working fine.
