You should be promoted to Power user.

I wouldn't be surprised in the least if the mods are talking about you right now.

  • +4

Christ if I had a house and not an apartment I'd be all over this

  • +2

Bought my first drill recently, goes with my screwdriver and hammer. Heck, if I had more tools I'd be all over this

    • +5

If you build it they will come

  • +1

    Damn toolbox not included.

  • +8

if the toolbox, tools, prongs & S hooks were included

The comment from one punter on the supercheap item page says he got it half price. So $150. Get it down to that, and, I'd be all over this

    I'm so over this.

I wish it had 1000 cable ties. Then I’d be all over this.

This is the same one as Masters was selling for $189 (whilst they were in administration) just with toolpro branding.

    • Bunnings have trickled in many of the ex Masters lines

A real handy person should start out by building their own workbench.

    • Agreed, much more rewarding and it's an excuse to buy tools to build it with.

    • +1

But then you wouldn't be all over this, and that's sad.

    • A real handy person never finishes what they start.

This ain't the movies, ya know.

  • Pretty sure Aldi sells one of thes too, not sure of it had the drawers but from memory was cheaper

If I had a girlfriend, that's what she'd say "I'd be all over this"

  • One don't have to be a 'real' handy person to get this. Maybe a person simply loves collecting tools as akin to someone who loves collecting stamps or coins, etc. This workbench would surely come in handy to store his/her precious collected tools.

  • Could I comfortably sleep inside this?

    • Looks better than the dog house

    • +8

      Depends, are you a tool?

      • Stanley, is that you?

      • If I was, I'd be all inside this

  • +1

    This is flat packed right?

    • +2

      Yes.

  • +1

Is the MDF bench top suitable to mount a vice?

    • Might depend on the amount of work and weight IMO.
Not for heavy duty work I'd say, otherwise probably ok for most medium/light duty work.

Note: I picked one up today and really like it. However - I had to shim the bottom drawer side/panel mounts up with washers.
Otherwise the drawer slips out of the tracks. I did try to tap in the support legs at first to close up the gap but without success.
Despite a little frustration at having to take off the side panels again & install the washers, I still believe this is a very good deal.

If I was sawdust, I'd be all over this.

  • Note that this item is not available in WA.
    (and postage is $100)

  • Is there a light in the top hood?

    • +2

I doubt it, the description would have been all over this

    • Was wondering the same thing. If not actually packaged with it, I'm guessing maybe a spot for it. Otherwise not sure why they would shape it that way.

    • no light

  • i already have the toolbox, Thinking about getting this to match but not sure i would use it much

  • Got this for the mrs, thanks! Anyone know how long it took to put together? I’d like to put it together and cover it up before her birthday.

    • Took me about 20 minutes.
Its pretty straight forward and finishes about 1150(l)x 650(w) x 1600(h) so make sure you have plenty of wrapping paper ;)

      • Sweet thanks. I think I’ll just leave it in the garage and put a sheet over it and tell her not to go in there.
