    I suspect this is only for Amex issued by Amex themselves. Not for use with bank combo cards.

    Yes this is for Amex issued Amex's only as this requires an opt-in.

    Anyone tried the BMW amex with this kind of deals? I am thinking to cancel my gold ascent card and apply for that one, if it is considered as an Amex issued card.

    the bmw card is issued by amex so yes. once you register your primary card i wonder if the supplementary card qualifys for the bonus points too?
