$39 Foxtel Entertainment + Sports HD package - even for existing customers

I saw got a flyer in the mail for this deal yesterday: https://imgur.com/a/SJdgf

Basically it is $39 for Entertainment package + HD Sports Channels.

I am one of those foxtel customers that cancels the sports package after AFL season but not the whole package - hence being a loyal customer basically.

Coming up to AFL season and I usually upgrade our basic package and get the Sports + HD components costing $65.

So contacted Foxtel on facebook and asked if they could help, showt answer is no they couldnt but they suggested talking to the discconections team.

I did this and told them that I should not be punished for being a loyal customer. They agreed to put me on the same deal (with no installation fee of course) but I did have to pay $25 to get an IQ3 box shipped to me apparently to make me elegible.

TLDR: To get this deal as an existing customer call up and speak to disconnections, tell them as an existing customer you shouldnt be punished and you want the $39 deal.

Anyway, hope this helps someone else to get the same deal.

    Im with Telstra for my Foxtel and they changed me to this and i got to keep my IQ2. I also did it thru the disconnections team

      This is specifically for existing customers. Hence why I posted this in the forums in case someone was looking for a way to get that price while being an existing customer.

        It's called the Foxtel App now (even for PC/Mac).

    I paid $125 plus $25 shipping fee for an iq3 it's not a good box I wouldn't recommend upgrading its slow to respond to the remote when you change channels especially the free to air ones you get a blank screen and you have to change channels until the tuner picks up the channel I rang up and complained and they sent me out a new box which isn't much better stick to the iq2 its much more reliable!!!

      I would stick with the IQ2, but they told me I had to upgrade to get the deal. Guess I'll see how it goes!

      What do you think of the new menu layout?

      I hate it, and I know that you can change it to similar, I still don’t like that.

      Did anyone say they didn’t like the old menu/guide layout?

    for the record their is no loyalty in paytv, like many industries. you only get something when you threaten to leave.

      Amen to that. Unfortunately, there is not much else I can do to get the AFL. The AFL app streaming service is bad….so Foxtel is my only choice.

    Do you have to remain on contract for the whole year? I am looking to watch the Australian Grand Prix live when it's on in a couple of weeks, but for the rest of the F1 season I source the races through other means. I only want the sports package for one weekend. Am I able to cancel after that weekend?

    Edit: never mind, found the page on their website.

      No lock in contract - can leave at any time or drop it back to the basic package.

    I chatted online. Im on the $10/m bare minimum. They are sending me a new IQ4 box. Ive been with them for maybe 10 months now
