      I think you mispelt.

      The "l" should have been a "g".

Are these vacuums really worth 10-20x more than the cheap models from BigW or KMart?
Anyone has experience with it? I find it very hard to justify…

    • Yes worth more than 100x more. If you want to breath in dust every time you vacuum then buy the cheap Kmart one or other cheap brand. But I much prefer to use the bag version.

    • That's a bit exaggerated, it's more like five times more, and the same can be asked and answered about any well-known branded product over their cheap competitors.

    • Miele vacuums tend to last decades, although bagless is new for them. They're also extremely good at filtering and actually working.

I ordered one yesterday after my 4 year old $150 vacuum triggered a dust sensor for small particles while running and doesn't have enough suction to pick up loose hairs.

The bagged ones are. They trap ALL the dust. They're also extremely easy to maneuver around which is great for people with bad backs/mobility issues. I'm a male in his mid thirties and even I appreciate how much easier it is to cart around.

      • Why are the bagged ones better? I can’t see any difference between them from the outside…?

        • +1

The bags last for quite a while before they need changing, and when they do, all the dust is contained. The bagless will require emptying the canister multiple times per session, and you get a face full of dust each time.

TL;DR bagless vacs are a pain in the bum.
