Normally I will stay away from gaming/gambling sites as IMHO everyone ended up loosing (not to mention being addicted to it can really destroy your life).
However in this case, if AFL/NRL tops are indeed sold at these prices, then I’ll say it is a bargain. Why are they so expensive in the first place anyway?

This isn’t something new. Coming from Europe, most other online bookies there have such deals. In a way it’s like giving you a free bet. The A$20 wager on the eventual winner of the NRL or AFL is really money in their pocket in a way as it’s near impossible to predict. Storm and Geelong are the respective favorites but they’re also the champions at the moment and it’s always harder to defend your title as everyone is looking to knock you off.
I’ll say just pick one of the 2nd, 3rd or 4th choices and support the side through the season. Parametta and Collingwood look like good choices for what they’re worth. Here’s where the european bookies tend to stop but in this case they want you to wager a further A$30/- so you might lose a further A$30/- to make your top cost A$50.
I’ll say just wager A$30/- on a dead cert like a positive handicap for a favourite team. There are no base odds so even at 1.08, go for it and recoup your money. Don’t do it all at one go but perhaps in A$10 steps. 3 bets to get you going in week 1 are:
Roos to beat Bombers, Lions(+14.5) to beat Eagles & Carlton to beat Richmond
You should get a couple right there (I hope) bringing down the cost of your guernsey. But as some mentioned, A$50/- for a A$99.99 item is a pretty good deal and I’d encourage you to just finish the deal (win or lose) and walk away from them, then you’ve gotten a guernsey for half price.
