I really want to try this thing, but I feel $50aud is about the right price for me. From what I can see it has gone down to about ~$53 aud.

I messaged the rep to see if he can help us out.

I bought mine for around $64 a month ago - Got 2 as a set on each side of the bed, and I can vouch for this product. It is absolutely awesome - Love it!

Price is not the cheapest, but still a great price and cheaper than other places.

As to waiting for the price to be around the $50 mark - if you don't need it right now and don't mind waiting, then I guess you can wait for it. However, there's no way to know when and if the price will ever come down to the $50 mark again.

        what makes it absolutely awesome?

        Convince me to spend $60

        ………and go!

    • the missus loves them they easy to use and hooked up yo alexa or google and home assistant make them even better. motion sensor to turn on when you get out of bed or enter bedroom etc also set time off schedule so they they turn off after like 15min

wake up to sunrise setting or sleep to sunset setting

  • I have this. It is quite nice to have touch controls on top of it but if you don't need them and are happy using alexa/google home/the app then you should save your money and just buy a yeelight bulb and a cheap lamp that takes e27 globes

    • Got any recommendations for a nice lamp that's like this?

    • Those e27 Yeelights are not dimmable though as far as I know. I use one in the kids room (lamp turns green at 7am so they know when they’re good to come upstairs to our room) but I have to put something in front of it so it’s not too bright.

      • They have a brightness setting.
Green on 0% is very dim, so you shouldn't have an issue.

        • You’re right. They’re dimmable but 1 is the lowest I can set it to. Still far too bright to use as a night light. It literally lights up the whole room.

  • Is it bright enough for reading book?

    • +1

Definitely. Maybe even too bright for reading at its highest setting - but you can adjust that to your liking.

There's also some preset modes in the app for you to use : sunrise, night mode, romance, movie mode - to name a few

      • Cheers

  • Kmart sell touch lamps for about $15. Like these 2 for $25 http://www.kmart.com.au/product/set-of-2-glass-touch-lamp/18…
Most have 3 way dimming options (not sure about these as not specified). Not as fancy in terms of colour options or wireless settings but get the job done…

    • Those ones have an E14 connector (half size Edison screw), so wont fit the Yee light that has a E26

      • I wasn't suggesting using a smart bulb with these. They just provide touch dimming. With an analogue lamp you don't need to expose your bedtime routine to the net (unless, of course, that's what you want to do…).

  • I'm thinking this one would also do well as a bedside touch lamp and costs less…

  • $65…

Currently have a Yeelight in a lamp which I use, so honestly have no real use for it.. but I like the look……….

Can't decide if I should spend that much money or not

  • I have two (and a third waiting to go for dd if she improves her attitude and reduces her stroppiness).

You can set up scenes, and using google home (mini) get it to enable the scene on one or more lamps as necessary.

My only issue is despite "Perfect CRI: professional optical design with high-quality Osram LED that of high color rendering index" they dont match when at same colour/brightness/temperature settings. I need to check the third lamp and see if that matches one of the existing two.

Also be aware that if using google home, there is a known "feature" that if say 'ok google, turn on the lights', despite knowing which room each light is in, and which room the google home is in, it will turn on all lights…

  • Thanks OP, just bought a couple more, very happy with the ones we already have 😊
