An extra 20% Off Fragrance & Gift Sets at Chemist Warehouse

180

Chemist Warehouse currently has an extra 20% off all fragrance & gift sets. This is amazing! I went in to check it out and found out that even if it is already on special you receive an extra 20% off at the registers.

I picked up a Marc Jacobs Daisy Parfum for $52!!! It's double that price at Myers!

Hurry through as the fine print says that prices valid until 31st Dec 2010 or until stocks last. Retail quantities only.

Also front page of the catalogue has vitamins 1/2 price off RRP on the following brands:

  • Blackmores
  • Bio Organics
  • Bioglan
  • Nature's Own
  • Cenovis
  • Nature's Way

Left over Xmas toys are also 50% off ticketed price, not printed in catalogue but seen in store.

  • Good deal as some of their prices are low already. Best deal in the catalogue for me is the Swisse Ultivite vitamins at $13.99. Usually the cheapest you can pick these up is $19.95.

    • I take this comment back. My local Chemist warehouse had absolutely no stock of the Swisse vitamins left - just one empty shelf and a saleswoman seemingly sick of answering the same question all day.

  • the wording is confusing, an extra 20% off all RRP fragrances & gift sets including sale items. so for something for sale at $39.99 with rrp of $100, what is the checkout price?

    • I bought a perfume YSL Parisienne 50ml. It was $120, reduced to $59.99 on special. So it was $47.99 at the checkout. Hope that helps.

      • thanks, so just an extra 20% off the price.

      • Well, I went to get the CK Truth, was ticketed @ $23.99 and scanned the same. I asked the girl at the checkout but rather than the discount, I got some attitude. Annoyed as hell, I walked out……

        • yeah, i think there is some tricky business going on with the rrp footnote.

        • Probably helps to clarify the deal with someone before taking armfuls of fragrances to the till. The posters instore are ambiguous as well but 20% off RRP would mean a higher price than what they usually sell for. I'm pretty sure they sell so cheap because the packaging is flawed, product slightly faulty or older stock.

        • Well the CK Be 200ml worked out fine……..had some ridiculous price of a competitor crossed out, was ticketed at $54.99, on special for $38.99 from the previous catalogue and with 20%, now down to $31.19. Why not a further reduction on the Truth then?

        • i bought burberry london from the cannington store - it was marked at about 49.99 last week - but this week was marked as 39.99 so i think they'd already gone through and changed all the ticket prices to reflect the 20% off. pretty good deal - ive never seen london that cheap - i usually pay about 60 bucks off strawberrynet.

  • Awesome deal. Bought 4 x Swisse multivitamins and some cologne RRP $142, store price $80, after 20% off, $64. Laughing.

    • 20% off vitamins too?

      • Sorry the $142 was just for the cologne.
The Swisse vitamins were $13.99 each, 65% off according to the site.

  • +1

I believe the Swisse vitamins have been extremely popular and they are waiting on the next delivery which the public holidays have slowed things down, I was able to put my name down to be called when they arrive, this way I have secured catalogue price.

    • No idea why they are so popular. You'd think with the way they haven't helped Ricky Ponting that they would fall out of favour :)

  • Got a 100ml EDP Dior Addict for my wife yesterday @ MyChemist Newmarket (VIC) - it is $180 in Myer, they had it discounted to $129.99 and it came down to just ~$103 with 20% discount. They still have 2 left.

  • anyone know whats the deal with mychemist sellng perfumes for over $50+ cheaper than Myer/David Jones.

Ive been told that they buy in bulk so they get a cheap price, however wouldnt you think Myer does so too?

My gf works in the fragrance department in Myer, and she said sometimes the colour on the packaging at My Chemist is slightly different.

But surely, someone as big as My Chemist would be caught out immediately if they were selling fakes. right?

    Whats your take on this?

    • One would assume that Myer sell them at that price because that's what people are prepared to pay. For that price, you get all the trappings of displays, testers, coffee beans to smell, etc etc. Chemist warehouse just pulls em out of a cupboard.

I would bet that Myer et al would like nothing better than to find mychemist, etc, selling fakes.
