tried my luck at a woolie and coles on christmas eve, thought they would sell out their perishables at massively reduced prices,
but those bastards just cleaned up and chucked out perfectly good fruits, vegies and very likely most of their meats, rather than offering us reduced prices.
btw we should avoid woolies and coles as much as we should, before they kill off all the competitions, and jacking up prices.
franklins and IGA often have very good specials.
But coles is trading everyday except christmas day…why would u think they their away the meats and stuff…troll much?
Maybe where you live. Coles in SA was closed for the 25th, 26th and 27th.

OP isn't quite correct, Perth City and Fremantle are always open on a Sunday, so is Mandurah and I think Rockingham .. the only exception being is if the actual public holiday falls on the weekend. These locations are also open on Monday!
Perth isn't so bad! +ve for the deal -ve for the comment about Perth!
Adelaide supermarkets are closed on Sunday this weekend, are you sure Perth isn't the same?

It's always good to head down to the coles deli just before closing time the night before a public holiday. Many foods can't be kept, especially if there's two/three days where the store will be closed.
Yep. I got roast chickens for $2.18 each and they were flogging off all deli items for 90% off at my local woolies on xmas eve half an hour before close. Also picked up some cold meats and cheese VERY cheap. But they packed away the prawns that were sitting there waiting for me to buy. Bastards! haha
such dodgy practises, since you cant reduce an item over 60%
