I prefer to use Real Oil…

The 6L bottle of 5W-30 is $29.99 @ Supercheap so you're paying $2 less for a whole litre less @ Costco. Seems like the better option, weird that the 6L is cheaper than 5L though..

Could also buy on their eBay Store to take advantage of PULL5 if buying with something else.

Great find! That's an awesome price. Feels like a price error, almost too good to be true…

Costco Nulon oil has slightly different specs compared to the one at SCA. The main thing thats stands out is the added Molybdenum Dithiocarbamate (Moly DTc).

Moly DTc is proven to dramatically reduce friction and provide increased engine wear protection from cold start to extreme temperatures, giving you additional benefits over standard engine oil additives alone.

      • Just got an email saying it's a promo so it's all good :)

Didn't know about the differences in the product!

      • Marketing. Gotta love it!

      • sooo whats the TL:DR answer? WHich one has the Moly DTc? Or do they both have it?

        • +2

          tl;dr
          -Costco Nulon has Moly DTc
          -SCA does not

        • @gimmebargains: ahhhh mannnn…… do i go the SCA one and get an extra litre but without the moly or go costco for $2 less and minus the litre

@Neilgero: Unless you are servicing something that needs 6L, I'd get the 5L pack, and have the residual for topping up inbetween intervals. 6L bottles with 1L oil in them do nothing but clutter the garage which you probably bin anyway on your next spring clean.

  • whats the difference between the gold and silver bottle?

    • +1

Normally, gold is far more valuable than silver.
