We needed a new iron right now, this seems to fit the bill.

It's part of the 50% off mothers day Amazon Promotion on certain products i read about here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/374310

Stack with $20 new customer deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/373464

Not sure if the 50% off mother's day deserves it's own post, couldn't see one, might get a few ups if someone creates one…

I choose this over the version 5 models TS505 & TS515 which got good votes here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/367241 as this one is 2300 watts, so assume more steam. For $24.50 against $89 RRP ill risk it.

Price History at C CamelCamelCamel.
This is part of Mother's Day deals for 2018.

Yeah. You gotta strike while the iron is hot

I love how the iron is pink. Should I buy one for my feminist friend?

    • It's not pink, it's more of a lightish red…

      • +2

Well she'll be seeing red after I buy it for her lol

    • +2

Yes. Then an ironing board for their birthday.

    • not after you iron that stained pyjamus

  • +1

Bought 1 thanks op though my philips cheapo wannabe steam thingo is still going.
Anyways I wished they have other colours than pink. Oh well it was cheap and you don't have to carry an iron outdoors so no one will see it pink!

an awesome price and very nice iron, well done OP, bought it earlier when posted this deal and can highly recommend it.

    • +1

      • after i logged in and out it was fixed, thx

        • +1

  • I get
"The promotional code you entered cannot be applied to your purchase. "
    Expired already maybe?

    • the code is only for new account

      • No that works. The 50% off mothers day one isnt?

      • Ok thanks Kungfupanda, I didn't see any mention of that in the description. Even the links I followed said 50% + 20% for New Amazon Account etc, I am not a new account but thought 50% would happen anyway.

        • +1

Ok checked further, you add it to the cart (no discount), you choose a payment method (no discount) and then go to Review items and delivery and you see the 50% off finally.

  • Do these irons support 220-240v? Just before people mass buy something that won't quite work
Edit: just realised this is Amazon.com.au

  • What's the best way to clean an iron?

Yea so I bought this iron a month ago, wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy. The reason for the purchase was because my Philips GC2046 (RRP $49.95) was badly damaged by a drunken friend. I couldn't complain about the Philips, did exactly what it was meant to do, never caused an issue. Saw a special on Amazon for the Braun, $32, I say what the hey - I buy it. Thing drips all over my clothes and causes the occasional stain, can't steam to save its life. This iron is selling right now for exactly the price it's worth - a cheap and nasty piece of junk. Buyer beware.

    • +3

Sorry to hear@Budju. I'd be returning it for a refund or exchange asap.

    • You know you might have just gotten a faulty one.

    • +3

Mine also have the same issue pouring a bucket load of water on to garments. Bought it when on sale for $32 on Amazon. It's mentioned on the iron anti drip as a feature though.

      • Did you hose it up?

    • I returned mine too, water dripping from everywhere. Bought from TGG. But I did get the cashback though, so not a bad deal.

Returned and bought a Philips iron.

    • Same issue grrrrr…. what a piece of junk.

    • Just an update on this very issue. I also bought this iron from this deal. It is big. Yes it started leaking water on my cloths. After some time I figured out what the problem is. Two simple points to remember when using this iron (or any other steam iron for that matter)

      • Keep the iron upright when not ironing
      • Keep the iron upright when refill the water tank

Try that and you will love this iron.

  • I don’t iron clothing anymore.

  • $4.50 since i seemed to have credit on my account. score!

  • Thanks! I've slept through about 10 iron deals in the past. Finally was able to buy one.

    • Time to straighten yourself out hey?

  • I don't see the 50%, do I need to create a new account?

    • It appeared for me after I confirmed the payment method.

  • Ironing? why?

    • To make you look slimmer than you are

  • Thanks OP placed.
