      No, newer iPhone and iPads that support faster standards are Power Delivery based fast charging. This is Qualcom's QC. You'll charge up to the 2.1A/2.4A that your phone supports but nothing more.

        Qualcomm QC only applies to the USB-A of this charger. The USB-C of this charger is not USB-PD (required by iPhone X fast charging) since it doesn't supply higher voltage than 5V/3A. Anyhow, each port can supply at least 10W, so it's still faster than the default iPhone 5W charger. (see test and example USB-PD charger

    This says it outputs 5V/3A from the USB C port & 12V/1.5A max via QC 2.0 for the USB-A, for anyone who is asking. Looks like I was too late though as the coupon returns 'This coupon can only be used 500 times' now.

    i don't know too much about Type C slots, but what's the advantage for a 'Type C to Type C' vs. a 'USB to Type C' standard cable?

      Not much in this case as anything you'd be able to do over the USB C you'd be able to do over the USB A given its restricted due to being a car charger with the voltages it can do. Its easier to use USB C cables & ports though, and good for future proofing with newer phones I suppose? Around $4~ is good value for a QC enabled car charger with 2 ports imo

      For this charger, only its USB-A support Qualcomm QC2.0. So it depends on whether your phone support it or not.
