This deal appears to be a bit sketchy…

Can you stop making these puns you impencils?

        • +1

I think you should draw the line there. You need to picture things from their perspective.

Things aren't always as black and white as they seem. Sometimes, they're black and green.

How did you draw that conclusion?

  • anyone got a video review for this ?

  • got one

Hi @Clear does Zapalstyle have the larger 10" or 12" version? Please let me know if so and I will happily grab a few! Thanks.

  • Yes Yes Yes!

This is an amazing sketch pad. No more notepads / stolen pens at work for me!

(I bought this when it wasn't on special, and it's so much better than the 3.5 Inch model in terms of quality)

  • Thanks mate, got one

  • The coupon code "ZPSNEW0510" is not valid.

    • +2

The deal is still active, must be signed in to apply code, just purchased one and it applied discount.

      Thanks muchly Clear

  • FYI cheaper to change to AUD - $7.75

Edit: nope, that was just their currency conversion; they put the Paypal through as USD $5.99 and no way to pay by CC AFAIK :(

  • Must have missed it. Registered, used code, keeps saying not valid. Tried with multiple, then single on the item but with no success.

    • Disregard that, clicked on the 12inch tablet link in the comments instead.

Looks great for adults but I'd be wary if smaller children are around as it has one of those tiny watch batteries that can get stuck in their throats

    • +4

Mate, easily fixed with scotch tape. Also if your kid still puts everything in their mouth prob not a good idea to be learning how to draw on an LCD panel. Some thick crayons or better wet paint and butchers paper is the go

Product has "for kids" in title. I agree that a kid who is old enough to use this is probably not going to put batteries in their mouth. It's their younger siblings I'm worried about. 20 kids visit the emergency department each week in Australia with suspected exposure to these batteries https://www.productsafety.gov.au/news/button-battery-nationa…

    • Not sure why you got down-voted, this is sound advice.

  • Is there a magnetic version that I can attach to the fridge?

I'm getting $20.83 for two (~$10.41 each) with the discount code applied after checking out with PayPal.

    • 1 per order or 1 per account it seems.

      • +1

Can confirm is one per account, and doesn't work on regular Zapal site (silly me!).

  • Thanks OP, these are perfect for a little festival theme-camp I'm running. Note the discount only applies to one item, so my total for two was $20.83. Going to have lots of happy big kids playing with these bad boys!

  • thanks
    bought one of each size.

Can drawings/notes on this be saved or transferred to a computer?

    • No.

    • +3

Yes, via a photo on your phone.

      • +2

        can confirm; phone is fine.

  • Is the battery rechargeable please? Or maybe a cheap way of getting this battery?

    • +2

The battery should last forever, it's only used for a brief moment when you press the "erase" button.

  • like it but have no use for it

  • +1

Thanks, this will replace the whiteboard I have on my fridge.

  • Will give it a shot

  • Did anyone get an order confirmation email?
I did not even get a new account opening email!

    • Same here - no new account email or confirmation.

after applying the code, shipping is no longer free, $2.67 usd for regular shipping which making the tablet $8.66, any one have a work around on this one?

    • +1

      Damn, same problem for me…:(

      • +1

Same here. I sent them an email asking if they can fix it.

        • Same here, please report back? Tempted to just pay it but it'd be good to get free shipping as per the deal. Ordered the 12" version in the meantime https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/378651

        • @samlor:
Based on experience from a previous attempt to contact Zapals, I'm very doubtful I'll get any reply. Others that are interested might consider emailing them also to increase the chance of a response. Email address [email protected]

        • @tbone74: Gotcha, thank you for responding. $0 shipping method appears to be available again so didn't need to email them and ordered, thanks.

        • +1

@tbone74: they replied me twice in 36 hours and i got told the shipping glitch is fixed so just i have just ordered one too

        • @samlor: Didn't get a reply so thanks for the heads up that it has been fixed.
          Bought one.
          Thanks OP

  • Tried to order - logged in and code does not work. It says it's invalid.

    • And now krayzii is disabled.

Received this thing in 19 days.. pretty poor tablet in my opinion.. even though this model claims of “improved” brightness, it’s very hard to see the drawings on the screen unless you are looking at it from a close distance and in a brightly lit room.. for a moment i thought there might be some button to increase the brightness but nothing of that sorts.. its nowhere as bright (or green) as shown on the screenshots on the product page!!

    • Found the same with all 4 of mine, thought the first was bung from apparent shipping damage but the others are just as dull.

    • Received mine today, as well as the 12 inch version. Both are equally disappointing, for the reasons stated above. Will most likely bin these.

I had one of the Boogie Board versions of these previously and that was much better.

    • Just got mine today, a bit less than a month. I wanted to use it as a notification board in the kitchen, but it is really dark. For drawing I think it is OK for brightness, but for writing down reminders it's almost invisible.

      • Have to agree with all the comments above. So disappointed…I can barely see anything. Would a change of battery help or are these just really terrible quality? Is there a different brand of these that anyone recommends for a one year old that's cheaper than the Boogie Board? She's bound to destroy it lol
