    No pouches? NO DEAL!!!

    • huh?

      • +1

The little chobani pouches. They aren't half price this week, sadly.

        • +1

What's so good about them? The tubs are better value, or even better to get a 1kg tub.

          @Savas: No spoons required.

          Use your tongue and/or fingers

  • +1

Sweet! I just take one whole shelf box of each flavour every time this deal is on.

Everytime i buy 10.. 1 or 2 gets off before the expiry date..

Where’s WatchNerd so we can hear his insight on the nutritional values

    • It's in the OP

      • +1

        Where's calcium?

    • I'd be interested in seeing how the other brands compare. Jalna, Danone, Vaalia, Tamar Valley, Dairy Farmers etc

I have found his insights very useful.

    Sugar laden crap…

  • +2

Overrated. I like the ‘Dairy Farmers Thick & Creamy’ yogurt much more. Some of their flavours are probably the best they can get.

I haven’t compared its nutrition values with that of Chobani but then I don’t have it everyday either so I can compromise a bit on nutrition if the flavour is much better than Chobani.

  • I never purchased yoghurt till recently (never really tried it)

Fell in love with the convenience of the pouches.

Can someone please recommend the cheapest and healthiest yoghurt pouch?

As aforementioned by another user, seems chobani pouches aren't on special

    • +6

Buy reusable pouches like Sinchies then add your preferred yoghurt. The cheapest and healthiest option is to make your own yoghurt or buy something like the Coles home brand.

      • YoPlus is pretty cheap and has the best calcium content.

Thanks so much for the advice - I had never heard of sinchies. Seems like a very good option for me!!!

      • +1

Thanks, never heard of those Sinchies before. How do you clean them, is it difficult/time consuming?

  • Has anyone had the Chobani pots go off before the expiry date? Every time I've bought them when that have the 10 for $10 specials, at least 2 go off (the foil puffs up). One lot of the blueberry pots had cracks on the bottom of the pot too, so leaked syrup into the fridge. So keep your receipt in case you need to exchange.

      That's not going off …

      • +4

I had one ferment a bit. Went fizzy with the bulging top.
Tasted fine, if a little effervescent.¯_(ツ)_/¯

        • I opened 2 and they stunk really bad. Never bothered checking the others that bloated. Also never seen it happen with other brands before, unless they have gone way past expiry date and really gone off.

      • Well I would be if it leaked in my fridge

Not quite sure why lots of people ignore the sugar content, which is worse than fat, in my opinion. Sugar is high in this yoghurt.

    • +2

It's only high in the fruit flavoured ones, the plain is fine.

$1.12 is the new $1. Inflation?? And on another related, if you're trialing various brands, try the Tamar Valley yogurt from Tassie. Mmmm ..

Large 900g tub is $6.30 rrp, equating to $0.69/100g. Compared to this offer at $0.66/100g there's only a small saving of $0.03/100g for the convenience of individually packaged containers. I keep my tubs in a normal sized fridge and my flavour is available in a large tub, so I'll be paying the extra $0.03/100g and cutting down on the amount of packaging.

    • Or buy a different brand and save even more!

    • Yeah I've never bought Chobani for those reasons

    • I buy the plain chobani so I usually get the big tubs. However, because I eat it at work, it's way easier for me to get the little tubs whenever they're on special. Saves me time as I would usually have to spoon out and weigh each serving to ensure I get 5 equal serves and wash my tupperware container too!

  • what happened to the days when they were only $1 each?
