Same deal as before but cheaper, from the same supplier.

A bit on the down side is the warranty claim from eGlobal. See posts and do some research if you wish. Their eBay store states: The one-year warranty is provided by our company, NO International manufacturer warranty for the item.

Other than that, it's an awesome price! Cheapest after eGlobal, $340 @ Gearbest and $359 @ PCByteSee list.

I'm very tempted to buy it.

Ever so slightly cheaper final price at $251.20 (after code PAMPER20) at their eBay store (https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/263567206812), for those who want to pay via eBay/PayPal (to take advantage of any eBay gift cards or paypal protection).

  • might want to check if it comes with a power pack or power brick where the power lead can be changed to AU …..my tplink c3100 has a power brick instead instead of plug pack ….. due to the power these big routers draw.

My Asus AC86U from eGlobal came with a universal (100v ~ 240v) DC power adapter with a N.America prong on it.

A socket adapter solved that, as I have many of those from purchasing stuff like this from overseas.

The most challenging part was that the initial setup was in Cantonese and there doesn't appear to be a way to change the language, so I was stumped. I eventually managed by using Google Translator by having my computer connect via wifi to my existing router, and ethernet to the Asus AC86U (set static IP, leave default gateway blank).
