If checking previous deals the 65x9000e was on sale for around $2300-$2500 mark quite a few times and the 75x8500e was offered to me several times recently in store for $2800-$2900.

Yes they are last year's models but it gives you some idea of how far 2018 models have to fall seeing they only just arrived in stores weeks ago. Not a good time to buy any 2018 TV right now.

It's the same thing with OLEDS, shops want ~$5500 for 65" 2018 LG OLED when their 2017 counterparts hit $3500-$4000 on sale.

If you have patience, just wait it out.

    • Most certainly agree with you. The above listed prices are already around $500-800 less than what HN/GG/Sony are selling for directly on their sites.

Waiting out will definitely be cheaper.

Sony/Videopro/GG already have the Sony 2018 OLED's around $500 less (on sale) at the moment!

Anyone see a deal on the Hisense 75's?

I took the eBay price minus the delivery to JB Hifi and they matched it for the KD65X9000F. They didn't have them instock as yet but said I'd get it before the World Cup starts. The reason I bought it.

The 9000F has the X1 Extreme processor, much better upscaler than last years sets just the normal X1.

Yeah, give it time and TV's will be cheaper…..you can say that anytime, but right now it'd be hard to find a better price.

Couldn't justify the OLED atm as Sony is releasing a new OLED within the year with much better brightness for those HDR scenes.

    • If you combine with Flybuys, which is 16000 points ($80) and ShopBack cashback which is 2% ($65), you maybe able to get a Better deal. Yes, you pay for shipping, but maybe an other $90 saving

    • I was thinking of doing this too. Taking the price to bricks and mortar stores and seeing what they could do with their price. They don't have to match, even coming close would do.

Most say they won't look at eBay and similar sites in their price matching terms.

JB Don't have the 65" on their website. Do you have a receipt for your 65" purchase I could use to talk them into giving me a similar deal?

20% ends tomorrow so I need to get something done today preferably.

    • Viper18 - Any chance of a scan of your receipt from JB? Pretty please? By PM if you prefer…..would massively appreciate it!

Want to go to JB myself today and try to get the 65" myself.

  • @Viper18, Same request here if you can please scan your receipt, it would be of great help. Thanks!

  • Just been to JB. They have no stock in the country. All on back order. Could be weeks before they get any. Not good enough for me.

Might just get the eBay deal. Or check Good Guys stock.

Just grabbed one from Good Guys for $3200 for the 65". Happy with that. Prefer bricks and mortar over eBay.
