          And I'm not 100% sure, for the price I think it's worth it but the X definitely is awesome, it's due for a price drop to $499 eventually I reckon.

          They got so much unwanted to stock, that it is better to dump them cheaply than to hold onto unwanted stock.

          I guess they just bought a new batch from Microsoft to offload
          after seeing how successful the last batch sold out so quickly at that price.

          Depends on the circumstance I guess, to me it was a no brainer as I play on pc so to play the old halo games for less than $200 is a no brainer

          @pinkybrain: I primarily bought this as it is a cheap 4k Blu ray player that can play games :) It will sit in the entertainment unit so it's looks aren't a problem.

          Normally play on my PC / PS4 but will use this also for Halo and a couple of other exclusives.

          we already have 2 xbox S, picked up a spare for $220 for 500GB a couple of weeks ago off ebay deal …. think we will wait X has some exclusives and prices drop.

          There is 2 years warranty, one of ours died, hence we bought the spare ….so we are good for another 2 years …..

          I wouldn't be buying the S for resale on Gumtree ….too small a margin …

          I own PS4 Pro, XB1S, and XB1X. I also have a PC gaming machine.

          If you want to criticise the deal, do it objectively. It comes with a vertical stand, it has 1 month game pass + 1 month XB Live Gold, which means you can play Halo 5, Gears of War 1,2,3,4 (inc. Ultimate Edition), and many other games for free for 1 month. It also has a 4K Blu ray player. You can easily get $199+ worth of fun by using the free game pass and XB Live Gold + 4K UHD blu ray or 4K video streaming.

          Alot of these consoles are nearing the EOL date.

          And PS4/PS4 Pro isn't? People are speculating when Sony will release PS5.

          While PS4 might have more exclusives, if you are into car racing, I reckon Forza Horizon is better (with Forza Horizon 4 coming). GT Sport is not that great. You can get it for $20 or less. Spiderman is coming, but there will be another game about Avengers. Days gone… honestly, looks disappointing (feels like copying LOFU's game play system). So, it is mainly TLOU part 2 and Death Stranding left (okay Spiderman will be out soon).

          Microsoft will put Forza Horizon 4 on GamePass on launch day. I'd love to see Sony let us play God of War for $10 for 1 month right now.

          If EOL is an issue, and PS4 Pro is not excluded, it doesn't make sense to "wait" and buy a more expensive console if you are concerned about the next gen (PS5 / XB2).

          Some reviewers feel that Microsoft don't quite want this gen to end soon yet (Microsoft now have more upcoming exclusives whereas you feel that Sony's first party devs have released their share of exclusives). It is Sony being more active in next gen prep. However, it is obvious Microsoft will have to respond when Sony releases the next gen console. People can sense that Sony's first party developers are eyeing / preping for next gen titles whereas Microsoft ones are still busy with current gen.

          There are also comments that Kojima's Death Stranding might be tactically better positioned to be a launch title for PS5 (although it will most certainly be a PS4 title). Essentially, we won't be seeing that game for a while. Also, TLOU part 2 needs to wait for Days Gone (otherwise, Days Gone will be crushed by TLOU part 2) - Days Gone feel like a game which simply recycles ideas from other games. Ghost of Tsushima does look interesting.

          You might think PS4 have an upper hand on exclusives. However, it is quite quick to finish playing those exclusives, especially quite a number of them are single player focused. Right now, I need another PS4 exclusive released (pretty much played all the exclusives released - and I waited for them to be discounted, not buying them at launch).

        I thought the same thing when I first ordered and actually had a bit of buyer's remorse immediately after due how it looked online. But when I received it I actually felt like the console is quite visually appealling in the flesh.

          yeah but I am also on the fence about this..

          I will have buyers remorse about whether I should have waited for a better deal for the One X
          which has
          -better graphics
          -more power
          -looks nicer design to keep long term and good to show off in your TV cabinet (minecraft edition is not so nice to display anywhere so need to hide it, but you can't hide the gamepad)

          If I buy this, then amazon gives a good deal on the one X,
          I will kick myself with buyer's remorse.

          I am thinking Amazon can give such big discount on this console, cos no one was buying them (due to how ugly the console and gamepad looks)..
          now Amazon or Microsoft needs to dump massive amounts of these consoles..

          They thought ppl were going to go crazy for a minecraft edition, and how wrong that turns out.

          This is $179 (assuming you know how to make a burner account) which is absolute peanuts. I paid $220 for mine and I'm not even salty about the extra cost.

          You're not gonna get a deal on the Bone X anywhere near as good to make you feel remorse at this price. But then again, if you're not going to play on this at all, then its a wasted $179.

          I was a big Xbox fan back then, but I didn't get to play the later series of Halo, which I have always loved the original Halo.

          Most people were upset missing out last time. This deal is a bargain. UHD 4K Blu-ray, vertical stand, 1 month Game Pass + XBLive Gold included - so you don't have to buy any game for 1 month and you can play Halo 5, Gears 1-4, Sea of thieves, State of Decay 2, Rise of the Tomb Raider and heaps more.

          Some of those games are PlayAnywhere version so you can even play them on Windows 10 PC.

          Value for money, no contest. This is a fantastic deal.

          You could do that, but if you don't do a good job, you could ruin it.

          Also the spray paint will cover all the logos and text on the console.

          And spray paint does not feel as nice as the original console texture..
          and you lose the texture feel of the original console.

          Also how are you going to spray paint the gamepad?
          You will cover all the text and logo on the button as well.

          So now you have two different looking items
          one spray paint console and one unsprayed paint ugly green gamepad.
          They will now no longer match.

          Personally I prefer dbrand skins (I haven't seen this console yet, so not thinking about ordering as of now) over spray paint with free international shipping for above US$20. I don't mind spending $25-30 extra for a heavily discounted Xbox to change the look way you want. I ordered dbrand skins for my Xbox One and they are precise upto a mm and feels rich.

        The red controller looks more nice than this minecraft controller.

        If you look at the promo for the minecraft edition..
        the head of Xbox gaming was going on how cool it looks..

        but to the masses, it looks butt ugly.

        I think no one was buying this ugly looking console,
        so now they need to do a massive dump of it.

        Better to sell it very cheaply
        than to not sell it at all and hold onto unsold stock.

        I believe its got to be a personal credit card (i.e no debit or business credit cards), but check the link. Annual fees will vary based on which one you get and from memory its a fairly standard credit card application process, so not hard, probably helps if you are banking with them already.

          PS4 Pro doesnt have 4k bluray player, it can only play 4k streaming content so not really a PRO console in my opinion, more like an overclocked PC with a price premium.

        Currently Australian stock is $67.15 for the Black controller at JB Hi-Fi and that's on sale. And i am talking about a genuine Microsoft Xbox One Controller. Not a third party aftermarket controller.
