Pretty sure I have this exact same camera that I got from gearbest for maybe $15?

    It's not 1080p but probably 720p.

Works ok for the price. The plus was that it came with heaps of attachments/mounts.
The negative was that the mounts were pretty poor quality.

    • same, i think i have the same one and bought it 2 years ago for about $40. the battery lasts about 50 minutes, so when i used it diving i:d be turning it on and off frequently. needs a good/decent SD card too. i agree the attachments are a lot of useless plastic. ive filmed a good share of shaky footage with it too.
the plus is the timelapse recording, and motion sensor that ive used for 1-2 projects.

  • For budget beginner action camera, start with Eken H9 onwards

    Good value for money

    • Hi bud. I have a YouTube channel and generally get most of my video with a dslr. Thinking of getting action cam for the kids helmet to get better bike track and other video.
How does this $20 cameras vs Eken H9 vs go pro.
I usually buy top range but not sure how much use it would get.

What's your advise bud on this. I'm confused on prices as spec looks quite similar.
I shoot my dslr on usually 2k video. Much higher than needed at the end of the day.

      Thoughts

      • I have the same/similar camera. Frame rate @ 1080p is only 15fps, so video won't look great when mounted on a helmet.

  • I bought one of these cameras (SJCAM clone) off eBay and it was advertised as 1080p. It probably was more like 320x240 and basically had no microphone. The eBay seller would not accept a refund as I'm guessing the shipping costs back to China were easily double what I paid.
