Lamy Fountain Pen Neon Lime - $19.95 + Delivery (Was $49.95) @ Milligram

380

I was going through the Milligram site and found what is probably their best bargain for me.

Lamy fountain pen, reduced from $49.95 to $19.95.

add to cart, then update qty and the cost is right …

Price at Tafts is $55,
Officeworks is $49.95
https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lamy-safar…

Most places are around the $40 mark.

For not much more than the cost of the nib, you get a whole new fountain pen. Nibs are about $14 from overseas and about $29 locally.

Doesn't come with the ink convertor, so you get one blue cartridge and after that is buy a converter or ink cartridges.

Good luck with price matches at officeworks as Milligram web siteb is geared towards on-line shopping not store front so expect office works to add postage.

They have a store in Melbourne Central with a bit of stock if you want to save on postage, the rest is warehouse mail order ….free shipping for $59+ orders.

I'd say just cheap due to colour and amount of stock. I bought a few as I use different colours of ink

  • Great price if you can get past the colour :)

(inb4 "HURR DURR YOU CAN GET A FAKE ON EBAY FOR $2.11)

I have a fake one …. nib is slightly different size so not straight swap, also they due fine and extra fine mainly on ebay ….

Also the windows to show ink doesn't line up on the fakes …there is a good you tube video that shows how they are made in germany …

      • I've got a fake one, too, and a couple of real ones. Apples and oranges.

  • Nice! Might consider, thanks OP

OP, you're better cancel the order, and order it with KICKGOALS15 coupon code. 😊

    • yep, I took 5 :-)
      presents all sorted.

  • Good deal, great pens. I'd get one but three is probably enough. You can pick up a converter for $9.95 as well and an inkwell for $20.

  • Good deal OP, I already own one and can vouch for Lamy quality.
Colour slightly odd, but you soon get used to it - becomes a bit of a novelty

  • Is it only the Lime green one that's discounted?

Trying to get the charcoal or black but it still says $50 even with a few attempts at adjusting the quantity

    • +1

Wait, is the title meant to say neon line or neon lime ?

    • the Line has the biggest discount …. roller balls all gone …. they were $10…managed to get 2.

  • Medium nib on European Fountain pens is thick.

    • nib size and particular inks can result in many combination … I have medium if I need to write fast but I also noticed depending whose ink is used makes a difference..so I also have a fine nib with a different colour ink …extra fine tears paper if you write too fast.. fountain pens are all about developing your personal style.

If you go the store they have most of the nib sizes on demo pens so you can try them.

  • Don't forget the matching ink cartridges, too, for only $3.25 per 5-pack!

  • 10% off too if you join their mailing list

    • It doesn't stack with "KICKGOALS15" 15% off code

  • isn't this one cheaper for better colors?

  • You can get pens for free at the bank, this seems a bit steep !!

    • +2

the problem is the guard at bank gets confronting when you take out knife or scissors to cut the string the bank staff attach to the pens to stop them getting taken …. post office seems to be more relaxed as I guess not many people hold up post offices.

  • My current favourite pen is a Platinum fountain I got in Japan in Christmas. I was thinking about getting a Lamy but couldn't justify the price, till now!

  • Great pen.
Pick up at Peters of Kensington is cheaper, but delivery from there will be more expensive all up by cents.

    • +1

If Peters have pick up, might be office works price match if handier for people if in Sydney ….office works in Melbourne add postage for interstate price matches …

Milligrams in Melbourne Central had some stock which saves on postage if on the way to Melb Central train station.

Might try a price match on this because the OP is OOS.

dw, it gets more expensive like in the namiki emperor line up. beautiful pens though, hand crafted, gold nibs etc etc

  • Pens arrived today by courier …. that was quick.

I was in the store this afternoon, they still have about 20 or so of the lime pens in the clearance section. I have a black one of these pens and love it, even if it's way over priced. I couldn't bring my self to buy a green one though.
