In hindsight I should have have got 2 of these and a 128GB instead of 2x 128GB, cheaper too.

    • +1

Thanks for taking the hit. On your advice it went 2 x 64 and 1 x 128 for $60.35

  • +1

Thanks OP, great price bought 4 for my dashcams and saved another 15% using PLUS15.

    • 4 cars, or one really worried driver?

      • maybe 1 car… 4 dashcams in that car…
worried about reliability of said dashcams..

or maybe just wants to cover front / left / right / rear views? :D

      • +1

one really worried driver, lol…no 2 cars with cams front and back…

  • Are these ok for shooting 4k?

    • +1

      Yes for below 4K 100Mbps

      • This has a minimum write speed of 30MBps, so it should be good for anything up to 240Mbps - which is most prosumer level devices (except things like the GH5).

  • Will this work in my new Nintendo Switch or is it not enough space?

    • +1

Sure but depends on how many games you wanna store. With current price I’ll go for 128GB

    • +1

It'll work, but yes it's not a lot of space if you're planning to go digital.

    • As the others mentioned you'll be fine as long as you're not planning to install a bunch of big games at once.
Additionally since the switch stores game saves on the system storage, if you have fast enough internet that it wont bother you, you can always delete games you're done with and redownload them if you feel like playing them again and make do with 64GB

  • Was wondering why won't check out for pick up.

    It was out of stock.

Anyone got too many to spare 2?

I can pay $16 each, can pick up 10km near Balwyn VIC.

  • Buy 4 for $51 delivered if you're a ebayplus member + shopback

    • save $2.25 each

  • decent for a dslr?

    • +1

have a 600d with the 128gb card in an adaptor - no complaints here. If you're doing prograde stuff with burst photography/4k video though you'd have to test that, but if you're just doing less demanding stuff for yourself no worries.

      • thank you mate.

  • Doh, had 2 in my cart and then it was out stock when I went to pay

A few dodgies bought 10 or more!

    • +1

  • Just signed up to eBay plus and it goes out of stock…

sandisk ultra a1 same price same seller grab it fast

      • The sandisk isnt U3 unfortunately. I need the U3 speed for a drone.

  • I don’t see anywhere that this card is really suitable for dashcam use. No claim by Samsung that it is as far as I can see (omitting to mention dashcams says a lot I think). Just all about speed and capacity, not about numbers of read/write cycles. I think this is might be good for applications like cameras but perhaps not for dashcams.

    • +1

I guess at this price better ruin 2 in a dash cam than buying a high endurance one for three times the price.

      • -1

There's also the added risk of voiding the warranty on your dashcam if it fails while using an unsuitable card

    • +1

I used this on my 70mai.. it lasted around 4 months(5000Kms). Im not sure if I can claim warranty from Samsung or HN. Thinking of getting rated for dashcams next time. Currently using my spare from LITB.

      • My old one 32gb, lasted 22 months, about 16kkms

    • I use the Sandisk one for disk cam, never come cross any dead card yet, but I have burned 3 Sumsung SD card before within 6 months for 3 different car and dashcam.

    • This comes up a lot. Yep, Samsung don't warranty these cards for dashcam use. And if your dashcam dies while using one, the dashcam manufacturer may have a reason to reject any warranty claim on the dashcam.

Most dashcam retailers and experts don't recommend using them. I only know of one retailer that recommends and sells them.

But despite the risks, lots of people use them because of the obvious savings
