Been a long term Uber Eats user and know the pain of promotions for new users only. Was Googling codes and came across "DMPUBEREATSQ2" and it gave me $10 off in my check out. For context I applied the code from my computer via chrome browser but my order failed twice so I jumped on my phone and the $10 credit was is my account listed as $10 off your next ride. Ordered the food with my phone and got the $10 off.

        depends. usually $8-11 per trip I do.

        alll dependant on how far the destination is from the restaurant.

        i'm in a car, so distance is no real problem. (unlike those on bike). Plus my car is from 2007, so depreciation is not a problem for me - hell my car isnt worth anything anyway.

        I only do it 2-3hrs a day, so usaully about $30-$50 per day. But I only work the suburbs - no way am I going to the CBD/inner CBD suburbs to try find parking. Those international students that work 13-14hrs a day on bike, in the CBD get about $300 a day - they work EVERY trip they get, im more selective (as in I wont travel more than 10min to a restaurant, chances are the destination is only 2-3min away. I'll only get paid for those 2min (you only get paid for the restaurant to destination).

        Of course it also depends on how busy it is (usually lunchtime and dinner is busy)

        Search the forums, someone has done an AMA etc on Eats.

          There is NO WAY anyone can survive doing Eats full time.

          In theory, yes, but once you had on tax/depreciation/etctec, it doesnt work out to be much anyway.

          Very high chance that it's people who dont even think about the tax implications.

          And $300 per day/week/whatever is never guaranteed. One day could be $300, the next could be $30.

          $300 is rare……it's done on a 13-14hr shift, so works out to be about the same as a regular job anyway.

        I've done it in the past, usually averaged around $25-$30 per hour (before tax). Best I got was $50 on a Saturday night. I avoided the CBD & stayed in the suburbs, and only did it from 5pm on, did my own car maintenance to save $$$, else not sure how profitable it would have been.

      I get "you have already used the product" upon getting the second code.
      I've only used ubereats once in May 2017 and haven't used the $10 off (haven't got it to work so far)

    Does not work for uber rides. Applied coupon, requested ride and was charged the full amount. In uber it does show ‘Jul 1, 2018’ - not sure if it’s not active yet.

    Second code doesn't work for me, says I have already used it.

    When I try finish my order with the first code added it says "Could Not Complete Order. There was an error proccesing your request. It this continues, please visit help.uber.com"

    /edit/ that error was via the app. using the website worked

    Tried to use just now on uber ride and was charged full amount. Got this reply from their support:

    Upon checking, I can confirm that the promos you're referring to are valid only for first Uber Eats order. For this reason, it didn't apply to your Uber ride anymore.

      That's very presumptive of them to assume you both comprehend and sympathise.

      For me to pay full price for Uber Eats would mean I've lost a week's gain of general stinginess, so it's good I hesitated (even if some people get it for free).

    Last time I use Ubereats. My order took 30 mins from pickup to delivery. Food wasn't warm. Restaurant was about 10 mins from home.

      The first time I ordered through uber eats I didn't realise they would send a bloody cyclist to deliver my food. It's around 10minutes drive but that guy took 35 minutes on a push bike and I'm sure he did another delivery on the way. My food arrived almost cold. If I didn't have a really good coupon I would definitely ask for refund.

      I use it about 5 days a week.
      This has become a regular issue in the last few months.
      They have a shortage of riders.
      "The restaurant is preparing your order" will stay on the screen even after the restaurant has said it's ready and is waiting for a driver to be assigned.

    So, what's the deal with being charged an amount I didn't agree to?

    Put the $10 code in over the weekend and ordered straight away for delivery Tuesday lunchtime. I have a screenshot of the receipt in the app with the -$10.00 applied. Got it delivered just then and was charged full price. I now have two pending transactions in my bank account (one $9.90 and the other $19.90) that I have taken screen shots of. Sounds like I won't get much love from Uber support but am keen to report to someone locally. Would that be ACCC?

      I ended up getting a $10 refund from Uber.

      It's one thing to have codes revoked prior to use but to be charged full price after using the code with no notification is a load of BS. They claimed it was a "technical issue".
