might want to explain the variants if promoting a USA model so unwary local buyers know if its the same as australian model and features or different.

    • +4

It’s not a USA model though

    • It says "international model".

The specs have the International chip ("Exynos 8895 Octa"), friendly to Lineage OS etc.

  • So this is an Australian model? As if I went into a telstra store and bought one? Very keen to buy at this price if so.
    Thanks!

International model. Pretty sure there are no Australian dual SIM models

    • It is an import model.

Australia does not get a dual Sim model.

But you can install the Australian firmware on the phone to make it Australian.

You may need to do this to make Samsung pay work.

Warning!!! Samsung Pay MAY not work in Australia for international model.

      Works perfectly fine with my S7 & S9+, can't see how S8 wouldn't

      • Some countries do not get Samsung pay.
If you get a phone from those countries Samsung pay will not work.

It's easy to change the firmware to get it working.

    • I have a dual Sim and Samsung pay works fine. Wife has dual Sim and it won't work.

      • If she is okay wiping her phone she can install the Australian firmware which will get Samsung pay working.

    • Apparently Taiwan sourced models will work with Samsung Pay, but there can be issues with others.

    • When I got a SM-G950FD I flashed it with stock Aussie firmware and had no issues with Samsung Pay.

I expect overseas firmware might be a problem but if you reflash it with official local firmware there should be no issues.

    • I didn't do anything special with my SM-G950FD (from Hong Kong?) when I first set it up, and Samsung Pay works fine.

However, the rewards and offers parts of the app are in Chinese.

      • It's possible to install the Australian version if it bothers you.

  • But does it have B28?

  • Two questions
    Is it dual sim?
    Will Samsung/google pay work?

    • What is band 28?

    • It is dual Sim.

      Google Play will work.

Samsung pay may or may not work out of the box.

If you install the Australian firmware Samsung pay will work and be in English.

Here are the specs of the G950-FD

So yes, Dual-SIM and yes Band-28.

  • Will be sent from HK. I like the price tag but it's not safe as we dont have any warranty.

    • The recent amaysim deal was about $50 more and it came with a 2 year warranty.

Check if they have any left in their eBay store.

  • Doesn't Aussie Stock (i.e Telstra Shop) have a Snapdragon 835?

    • +1

American and Chinese stock do, not Australian.

  • Hey guys, big respect to this community. I tried to order last week from these guys on ebay, but it wouldnt let me make a U.S account. How can one make a U.S account or could u link me to any help. Cheersx

    • You buy from Australian ebay with Australian account

  • Thanks 007 ;)

    • Condition:
"Good = Light to Medium signs of wear. This item may have some visible scratches on the screen and/or some scuffing around the frame of the device
Fair = Medium to Heavy signs of scratching, scuffing, drop marks, or dings."

Just to save $77…no thanks (imo)

    • That one is also single Sim

      • thanks

        • That's okay.

If you want a dual Sim
          G950F for single Sim
          G950FD for dual

  • Is a good upgrade from moto g5 ??

  • The aspect ratio on these phones are terrible. Something to keep in mind if watching youtube content.

  • is it good to upgrade from S7?

  • If buying from ebay, can we still claim tax return at airport for traveling oversea?
