Anyone can sign up using the special link that I posted on my deal which has since been merged in with this one the link was sent to you via email if you done what was requested on the signup page and telephoned them.

Here is the non South Australia signup page. I did this multiple times to confirm that the link doesn't change so anyone can use it. Happy bargain-hunting.

You can find the relevant information about the Credit Union SA's Access Account here As always you should read all the terms and conditions and do your own due diligence before signing up for any financial services. Online signup for an account doesn't support you being outside South Australia and tells you you need to telephone to get an account they'll send you an email with a link after doing some checking I was able to confirm that they send out the same link for anyone that maybe interested the link is https://apply.creditunionsa.com.au/cusa/servlet/SmartForm.ht… Which is where the OzBargain click through will send you.

Please read the terms and conditions before making a decision and consider whether the product is suitable for you. The offer is current as at 1/06/18 and is subject to change at any time.

    Tips and additional information.

Unfortunately Credit Union SA, do not support virtually loading the card to Apple Pay before the card has arrived and has been activated so you will have to wait for the physical card to arrive in the mail. Personally I will be loading funds straightaway around $10 so you're ready to go when the card arrives and will just do three transactions at the self-serve check out like at Woolworths or Coles. Given how close the deadline is for making the eligible Apple Pay transactions (15/07/2018)

    • I'm going to post this for anyone that maybe interested. As there is only five days left as of today I thought it might be worthwhile posting to help people out if the physical card doesn't look like it's going to arrive before the cut-off date of the 15th.

If you do this you take the risk that your physical card could be used for fraudulent transactions if it happens to go missing.

Credit Union SA is one of the six banks that allow you to load your card virtually to Apple Pay from their mobile banking app It would be nice if they were one of the ones that had the ability to do this before the card has been activated but there's only really one bank that does that at the moment.

However if you would like to try and activate before hand the expiry date of your card is most likely going to be 05/22 once you've activated your card in the mobile banking app you can add it to Apple Pay from there no need to wait for the physical card to arrive.

If you do this you take the risk that your physical card could be used for fraudulent transactions if it happens to go missing.

At least it won't be ozbargained like the previous Tasmania cashback deal, and SA ozbargainers can get a decent chance.

Update: Many thanks to @tonyduffe , his (or her?) manual link allowed non-SA resident like me to sign up (and just did).

    https://apply.creditunionsa.com.au/cusa/servlet/SmartForm.ht…

Better be quick, given the credit union will pull the deal any time soon.

    • Thanks for the mention.

      • Would you how long it take for the card to arrive normally?

        • That's gonna highly depend on where you're located in Australia. for me it's definitely going to be cutting it close.

        • @tonyduffe: Vic, no longer available

        • @Aussie88: Normally it's 5 to 7 business days for capital cities most regional cities it's 10 to 14 days. In my experience.

  • I don't have an iphone anymore but have an ipad pro, can I use that for apple pay purchases?

    • I'd be very surprised if your couldn't…

To be sure, check your iPad Pro's spec's,
at Apple.com (or the variation URL for AU)

Missed it no longer taking out of SA applications

  • Thanks op. Opened the account. Does anyone know where do I find the BSB number after logging in? I could see the account number but not the BSB. Thanks!

    • +2

It's right there on the top right on their website - BSB 805 007

      • That's heaps better than Me Bank's app…

        Even after logging-in & looking at either acct's A/c 3,
you need to hit menu & hit Details for their BSB no.

Plenty of room on line w/ A/c #… wasted, as is one's
time (first time:) ringing 'em up to ask,
and (..thereafter) doing the Menu / Details sequence.

Me bank is Not for ME! ;-|

ING rocks by comparison… Ease of Use, (past) promo's,
        etc. 24x7 phone service

      • Thanks. I was looking at the screen after I logged in.

Opened an account this morning and yet to recieve any confirmation/welcome email. Has this happened to anyone else?

    • +1

After you completed the signup process you should've been given your account number and a reference number on screen, You should just be able to log into Internet banking with that account number and the password you chose during the signup process.

The email sent should have the subject: Your application for membership with Credit Union SA sent from [email protected] and it looks like it comes from an Amazon Server.

      • I was at work when I signed up and made the rookie error of not recording my acc. number or reference number…and I haven't received an welcome email either. I'm in VIC so I'm wondering if by the time my application went through they had somehow already deactivated the form. Perhaps I'll give them a call tomorrow and follow up.

We've all made those rookie mistakes.

I'm in VIC so I'm wondering if by the time my application went through they had somehow already deactivated the form.

I wouldn't think the deactivation would've affected any completed applications done before the deactivation of the out of SA signup form do you remember if you got it completed application screen with reference number? I would've thought if the application was closed while you are in process you would've got error message.

Perhaps I'll give them a call tomorrow and follow up.

You may just have to do that, the good news is I was impressed with hold times less than 30 seconds.

  • Done.

  • why limit to SA? these CUs like to limit their opportunities.

Got my card today, now to just add my card on apple pay and make three purchases.

Mine arrived yesterday too - made my first Apple Pay purchase today, two to go! Has anyone received their credit yet?

Has anyone received their credit yet?

People that saw this deal probably haven't received the credit yet. It's definitely too early for that this deal was only posted towards the end.

        • Good point, that makes sense! Either that or perhaps they won't credit until July 15/16 when the promo ends? I'm enjoying using Apple Pay so either way I'll probably keep the account open with some coffee money sitting in there

@coastbargain: Apple Pay is awesome, have been using it pretty much full-time for nearly 2 years now with no need for physical bank cards.

        • +1

@tonyduffe: My credit has just been applied!

        • @coastbargain: Excellent, How many days after you met the requirements?

        • +1

@tonyduffe: I met the 3 transaction requirement on Friday, the transactions cleared yesterday, and then I also made a 4th transaction this morning (not sure if that had anything to do with it though).

  • hmm… thought I could use an iphone 5s for this but is not eligible for Apple Pay at all. Any ideas? Tried running a virtual machine unsuccessfully so far…

hmm… thought I could use an iphone 5s for this but is not eligible for Apple Pay at all.

      Correct.

      Any ideas?

You're going to need another device that is supported. https://support.apple.com/en-au/HT208531

Tried running a virtual machine unsuccessfully so far…

That sort of stuff is definitely not going to work Apple Pay requires the device to have a secure enclave.

Just completed my three transactions, now to wait for $$$$.

    • Nothing yet.

      • Still nothing.

        • Same here, maybe they check for SA address.

        • No problem, gave them one of those.

  • anyone else receive their credit…?

    • Nope.

    • Also haven't received my credit. However the terms and conditions that I posted in my original post says it can take up to 30 days after your last eligible transaction has been made before the credit is applied.

      • I guess I expected it early because coastbargain got his very very quickly.

        • Just got my credit today. So did several other friends that I alerted to this offer some however also received a text message that notified them that the credit has been applied however I did not receive such a text message.

@OzBeergain: Glad you got your credit in the end too!

      • Received, thanks all, thanks op!

  • Yes! Thank you so much, Op!
