@OP That's not how you post a deal — the main URL is for linking to the page. You don't need to upload an image. That's done automatically. https://i.imgur.com/7Zc0s9I.png

Do these work? Never heard of this before

    • Seems like junk tbh, but i'd like to see a video review or something proving me wrong, am skeptical.

Sounds great. Can watch love island on my way home from work.

    • …and before you know it, you'll arrive in the nearest police station

    • Heaps of airbags means it's safer

    • Looks like a different model, but either way this seems like the kind of thing that'll sit in the glove box for eons.

      • nm different

    • That one doesn't have wireless charging.

Can't say how this specific one is for quality, but things like this do work. Have seen one in a workmate's car.

I use the HUD in Sygic and just have it on my windscreen and that's good enough. The screen looks like it is a hologram, just outside the the lower right of my window.
Obviously not real effective at midday, but I work full time night shift, so it gets used a lot.

Might look more into this or something similar as I like the QI charging aspect of the cradle and the screen on my workmate's one did show the HUD in daylight.

  • or get a QI phone holder? Bonus…you can actually operate your phone then….

    • The advantage of a HUD is that it's semi-transparent, so it can be placed in your field of view in front of the windscreen without completely obscuring your view.

      • But you wont be able to use the screen…right??. seems like a lot to give up just to have it in front of you… how are you going to get the navigation etc etc to work? genuinely interested…

        • Yup. It's a set and just… put there kind of thing. I've been looking at these but haven't gotten one yet and this is one of the reasons. There are stand alone ones which connect via bluetooth to your phone, but they also look tacky.

    • While driving, I have it in a dash cradle and the HUD is on the window and the phone can be used hands free, legally.
Any phone calls that come in are via Bluetooth and and outgoing ones are done by voice command.

I have been researching this for a while as an alternative to a phone mount. Question, how well does this cope on a bumpy road? I have seen cheaper ones where you go on a bumpy road and the screen vibrates back and forth a little. I would imagine this to be quite annoying and could possibly cause motion sickness if you keep looking at the screen. It is for this reason that I decided to go with the safer option and went with a wireless charging air vent mount instead.

LOL @ photo #6 on the product page - unintended selfie!

  • I can’t imagine how unsafe this product is. In an event of collision, your phone will fly straight between your eyes.

    • Yeah, the thing I don't like about these it that the phone is not secure.

I have a cradle that is secured to my dash and that has 4 arms that hold the phone in place when I use my Sygic HUD on the windscreen.

  • Any actual video or pics of it in action? Looks like a knockoff of a Pioneer HUD.

  • which apps support this??
