For some reason, it's quicker for me to browse/spot the bargain the catalogue rather than reading the text?? perhaps it's something to do with my old brain, it's quicker to process bright coloured picturesque product with big red discount mark, rather than observing one text to the other :)

Also it seems to me like every friggin thing has gone up in price. I easily spend over $100 on groceries when I go to the shops and im pretty frugal in my selections of specials etc. Farmers union ice coffee has gone up in pricce and is over $4.50 on special now!!
Got 2L of Oak ice coffe for $2.40 at coles, half price.

I think the reason is that people will look at the specials on wednesday and it will be fresh in their minds when they go shopping on thursday.
Well well well… Woolies catalogue cycle change was (partly) to improve the supply of products. Well I went to Woolies on Tuesday late afternoon to get some Up N Go Energize, but found it to be sold out so I got a raincheck. Went in first thing this morning (first day after the catalogue had ended) and miraculously the shelf had plenty of Energize, at the regular price of course.
Funny that, and shame on Woolies.

oh yay up and go energize on special now. i bought 15 packets of those vanilla up and go normals and already getting sick of em :( hopefully they got more flavors in energize.
