it's lock to voda for 6 months i believe it's free to unlock after that.

Sadly, a 3 sim won't work in the Voda version of this phone, I tried it myelf a few days ago! :(

well they are so many different network and some work i just cant recall which is which.
just googled must have been thinking of virgin as they are interchangable!

Of course not. They are different networks. Change of ownership does not matter.
BTW, cheap Nokias are usually damned good quality phones, just less features. I hope that has not changed.
