Since the things I buy from DX are generally at 20-85% off (rough approximation), $3 more is better, though, I'm in the same lot as JV.
I'm not generally gonna spend $100 unless it's gift giving time.
don't forget you earn DX points for each $10 you spend.
sure the redemption offers aren't great but hey 3% off and redemption points.
then you review all the stuff you have bought with you $100 + 3% to get further DX points.
so you get 100 $1 things.
that gives 10 DX points for the purchases and then you review each item and get a further 2 DX points per review.
so you end up with $100 - 3% of 100 items and 210 DX points to redeem
3% is not alot when compared to other stores
but 3% at DX is alot, due to the already low low low prices, too bad you have to spend $100 though
$3 is still money if u keep buying end end up buying $1000 worth then u get $30~
then u can use the $30 to get a remote control helicopter or a hdd dock~

I usually only buy small orders as I think of them because of free shipping but I am sure I can order a bunch of stuff at the same time for the discount.
I think people forget that DX makes its money from sheer volume of sales - Their profit margin per item is minuscule, and it's for that reason that this is a great bargain: them taking an additional 3% off is slicing their profit margin by what would be a lot.
This is a fair decent "Bargain", considering most items on DX are already bargains.

I am pretty sure it is because u did not provide any valid reason besides opinion. Example compare Dx product to the same product sold by another seller. And then justify why it was not bargain.
Saying stuff like "wow, a whole 3percent off?" and "haters gonna hate" does not justify you neg vote for the bargain.
Also I think. The wiki on ozb stated that mod will most likely remove neg votes when people failed to explain the neg vote

I have $49.21 worth of goods on my DX wishlist. This is not even half of what needs to be spent to redeem the coupon. If there were no limitation to the coupon, and was a straightout 3% off all transactions, I would save a grandtotal of $1.47.
This wouldn't even buy me a Mars bar.

This deal is solely on the pathetic 3% discount offer, not whether DX is cheap compared to other stores or not. Regardless of whether they are cheaper than other stores, 3% discount is pathetic. To make it even worse they only give you the pathetic discount when you spend more than $100? This is so retarded.
Normally stores entice people to spend more by giving out more discounts if they spend above a certain amount, but how is 3% supposed to influence someone into buying stuff they don't really need?
3% is better than nothing. Do you know that they are rarely have a discount offer? Having said that, not all products in DX are the cheapest, so you still need to shop around.

Most stores only give 10% off on Apple products as there is very little margin in them. As chewman pointed out, this discount is probably just represent of their margins and you would be unable to find the products they sell cheaper elsewhere.

3% is pretty measly discount, unless you buy big volumes from them.
