This post contains affiliate links. OzBargain might earn commissions when you click through and make purchases. Please see this page for more information.

The link will take you to the Korean Xbox store. If not, select Korea as your region at the bottom left of the page.

I use Chrome to translate the page to English, then click on the blue 'Receive' button to get it for free.

  • Cant find the Korea choice in the region selection?

This might help. I had to google what Korea looked like in Korean and match it on the region selection page on xbox.com.

  • It's coming up at $44.95 for me, even though I'm in the Korean store.

Nevermind, using the link from Fembot worked as it stayed in the Korean store - I think it was switching back to the AU store when clicking the game from the main page link.

    • You must not be logged into an account which has xbox live. I had to same issue at the start.

      Ok, just saw your edit

Kept switching back to Australia when clicking on the games, but if you just replace en-au in the url with ko-kr for each game, you'll be sweet

  • +7

It’s the /ko-kr/ part that you need To change for region. Whenever you click to a new page it will redirect you back to /en-au/.

    I also claimed https://www.microsoft.com/ko-kr/p/kalimba/c25k1d8b4h2b?rtc=1

    Btw, this game is fantastic.

    • +2

It's not, but it's not bad at $0.

      • +1

Well the PC version is fantastic. Zoo Tycoon Gold, great game.

        • Original PC version is awesome, yes 😊👍

    • +1

I literally started playing this last night on game pass. Wasn’t a fan, viva piñata is better 😜. Free is free though

      • +1

Viva Piñata is dope. If anyone hasn’t played it before, get the second one, it’s like the first but with more stuff.

        • Was surprisingly good. It was my first ever Xbox 360 game. Came with the console.

Did you end up figuring out how to claim zoo tycoon? I recently posted a comment about how to do it using the Xbox mobile app

        • I couldn't figure it out. But I acquired a copy for PC somehow and probably would prefer keyboard and mouse anyway.

        • @AustriaBargain: If you have the PC version you also have the XB1 version as it's a 'play anywhere' game. If you sign into your XB1 you should be able to install it.

  • I thought from the title name this was DLC but it's the full game. My daughter will love (watching me play) this. Thanks OP.

  • Thanks. Think my kids will enjoy it. Although when it's free it really doesn't matter if they don't.

  • Thanks OP!

  • great deal

  • Thanks, been after this for a while

  • Nice find. Cheers!

Claimed it but have no idea if I've been charged. Will need to double check my account to verify. Thanks OP.

"Kalimba" from the Japan store is also meant to be free according to a comment I saw on Reddit but I can't verify at moment (work). Somebody please post it as a deal if your able to get to it before I can.

  • i am not able to see free claim. can someone suggest

    • Are you logged into an account with Xbox live?
Or have you used this link?

  • I give up. Got to what I think is a text message confirmation field but I get no text message.

    • You have to put your number in the box.

      • Cheers. I’ll give it another shot. Argh it’s only taking four digits.

        • So I went and checked for ya, I was verifying my account via email but I tried my phone number and they want the last 4 digits of the number you've linked to your account. Now it should definitely work for ya, good luck!

So I’ve just done a bit of googling on this topic and can’t believe I haven’t been doing this for years.

    Tips for others:
    * Only works for Xbox one games as they are region free.
    * Doesn’t work for Xbox 360 games as they are region locked
    * Easier to claim using the Xbox mobile app. Log into account, go to settings/language/set location to South Korean/Japan. You can then go to the Microsoft store of that region while everything is still in English.

    • Thanks for the tip.

  • The link is OK for me. I've tried the app, my phone browser and a pc. All the blue buttons want me to do is buy it, gift it or get it on xbox live. What am I doing wrong here! It wants kwr 37,900.

    • bump! Sorry guys, would really like some help. All 3 of my blue buttons are not 'Receive'. I've tried on my phone too & have the same thing. Has this expired?
