I prefer digital. Available on demand, no switching discs, no one is buying second hand dvds when you’re done with them anyway. iTunes at 20% off brings it down to $64, $9 a season of quality entertainment. Ideal if you’ve never seen it or don’t want to pirate it.
How do you get the 20% off iTunes from?
Gift cards go on sale regularly at 15%, occasionally at 20%
I am pretty sure the Bluray set has been this sort of price before, which would get you a far superior copy.
Might be a silly question as I haven't really looked into series and movies on iTunes but does this play in 4k?
Not yet. Apple will probably upgrade it for you if they get it in 4K. I imagine HBO will want to milk physical media first though, because I don’t think Apple charge you extra if you already have HD streamers.
As per this, Apple has upgraded everyone's movie purchases to 4k. I'd wager GoT also gets that treatment.

The UHD is unfortunately upscaled to 4K (2160p). Although they added HDR Dolby Vision + HDR10 and a Dolby Atmos soundtrack.
Yep. Then making the picture worse than it has to be by the conversion to low bit rate streaming.

Maybe not, but people who have seen it would still potentially be interested in buying it.
I streamed all the episodes but I love the show, so I've bought them all on bluray to rewatch it later.Yeah, I've never seen an episode but might someday. However not at 80 bucks LOL!
Agreed. Watched it but don't think it's really a series you'd sit down and watch again many times. Heck I've read the available books too and don't even want to read rest of them (if George RR ever gets around writing/releasing them!)
I don't miss it. Good luck to The Night King, I hope he sweeps all before him. I'm not that confident though, I found shooting that ice dragon in Breath of the Wild pretty easy.
Only worth it if iTunes upgrades these to 4K Dolby Vision / Dolby Atmos.
S1 has just been released on disc 4K UHD w/DV/DA
