[QLD] Inspire Non-Stick 26cm Fry Pan with Soft Touch Handle - $4.50 (Was $18) @ Woolworths

630

Was loitering around Woolworths near me in Central QLD (here for work for a bit and there's not much to do in a small town, but sure) and saw the Inspire non-stick soft touch 26cm pan reduced from $18 to $4.50. It's a steal.

Not sure if it's store specific, but if it was anything like the $1.50 knives from not too long ago, it would be nationwide.

  • These where on clearance in a WA store 4 weeks ago (can't remember the price but it wasn't $4.50!). Are they really safe to use in the dishwasher ?

    • What would be unsafe about putting it in a dishwasher?

Usually the dishwasher messes with the non stick.

        • A dishwasher only gets to about 70 degrees which is much lower than cooking temperature.

@spaceflight: it’s more the detergent that isn’t good for the coating

        • @iSamurai:

what do you suggest is good to wash with, if not using detergent?

        • +1

@Triton: Dishwasher detergent is more harsh and abrasive than dishwashing liquid that you use when hand washing to make up for the lack of elbow grease in the dishwasher. A little dishwashing liquid in the sink is fine, but the dishwasher is a big no-no.

@Triton: you wash nonstick cookware by hand with dishwashing liquid. it's milder than the powder/tablets that go into the dishwasher. this is suggested on one of the Tefal pan's instructions IIRC.

Haha OP if you're in Emerald, I know that exact Woolies and I did the exact same loiter when I was there for work recently

  • Can anyone confirm if in VIC?

    • +1

I saw it at half price in Woolies Docklands this evening, which is around $9ish. Not sure about other store.

      • Weekly special,30% off for this Woolies own brand.

  • Awesome! Finally living in Emerald pays off! Is it in the clearance aisle near the cleaning stuff or in the standard kitchen aisle?

    • Standard kitchen aisle stacked up on the shelf, at least five yesterday!
Sometimes having less people living in an area is more LOL

  • poor you must be very boring town if local woolies is the only tourist attraction lol.
its a steal.. but, is it steel?

  • Great. Thanks to the Baader-Meinhof Phenomenon I should be hearing a lot about Emerald in the coming days.

"This is my friend Elsa. She was fruit picking in a small town you've probably never heard of…"

  • worked for me! Thanks OP!

  • Kidding me! I just picked one up from Woolies in Mt Isa without even having seen your post ;) Same story, here for work and not much to do around! Top deal! Sadly, it was the last pan on the shelf.
Also, my first item is a water bottle like on your receipt; we must be connected somewhere

  • Anyone can vouch for the durability of this?

Gone through a few broken pan handles over few years mostly coles and woolies cheap ones like this.. I don't mind but feels bad for the environment and kitchen having broken pans lying around.
