  • Do these switches need anything else if you are running them with an Amazon EchoPlus as your hub?

    • dear, it can work with broadlink.

  • Please change title pricing to indicate $27 USD not AUD. What is postage charge?

    • ok

    • free shipping

It looks great, has awesome features but there is one big problem that would stop me from getting it….ILLEGAL to use in Australia!

    • -1

it is legal to use, dear

      • does it have a SSA certificate?

        • yes, it has

    • I am sure the importer can show where they are RCM marked. AFIK only in NSW do they need RCM and C-Tick still, to be legal for an electrician to use.

I was under the impression that any switch that interfaces with the 240v electrical system MUST be RCM certified in Australia( and this applies in all states). Not just for complying to the law but from an insurance perspective, should there be an electrical fire your insurance is almost certainly going to be rejected if you have installed non Australian complaint switches.

        • please don't worry. we have SAA certified in Australia

  • It looks great! Just want to know if it is legal in AU.
    Any proof?

Also it mentions that dimmer LED light must be more than 20W, does it mean every single LCD down light must > 20W?

    • Waiting for these questions answered.

      • yes,we have SAA

    • Just want to know if it is legal in AU.

Legal how? Regulations make it illegal to sell these in Australia, but that does not make them a prohibited import.
You do need an electrician if you want them legally installed, and it is possible the sparky might not like them.

Not illegal to use once installed.
The 433 Mhz band is legal for use here.

      Any proof?

Law is full of grey areas and contradictions. Sometimes the only way to answer is to spend millions on lawyers to establish a precedent.

I can't find anything to say an electrician may only install products with RCM in my state. But that may have changed recently.
      Citation anyone?

Quoting regs is helpful, but the only real proof is to cite prosecutions.

      • please chat with me on personal, i will send u the picture of SAA certification

    • we have SAA certificate.
If working with LED lamps/lights, the LED lamps/lights must be dimmable and the working current of the LED must
      be more than 300mA.
