Damn it! I have way too many shoes already. :(

    • +5

Lol, you can never have too many shoes.

      • +10

Is your real name imelda marcos?😀

      • +8

For women, that's understandable. lol Seriously though, I was buying shoes from almost all the deals posted here over the last few years and I have like 20 pairs of shoes still in their boxes. That's insane!

        • +2

          I thought I was bad have about 4 boxes🙂

        • +4

@ausbob71: I may not have 20 in boxes, but I believe it's more than a dozen. Still way too much for a guy. I blame OzBargain for all that. haha

        • +3

          @AussieDaddy:

Is OzBargain turning us men into OzFeminine?

        • +3

          @montorola: Feminazis would say yes.

        • +2

          @AussieDaddy:

Buy a Pixel 2 XL instead! Problem solved!

    • +1

This. Before I joined OzBargain, when I helped my mate move apartment, I laugh at him for possessing too many shoes like a lady. Fast forward about 7 years later after joining OzBargain, i have no less than 16 pairs. Most unopened in their shoes boxes. Dun think I can look him in the eye anymore lol.

  • My CommBank conversion ended up $28.89. I wonder if anyone got it around $27.50.

    • I used Paypal and it converted to $28.89

      • Seems about the same price then.

    • +1

      $27.60 with Bankwest Platinum.

      • Also $27.60 here with Bankwest Platinum.

    • Use CC with no international fee. Don't let PP do the currency conversion. Coles has no international fees

  • +2

    I paid $31? Still a good price

    • Probably your cards crappy currency conversion rate plus most charge a 1-5% fee on top of that.

  • +8

I got so excited by the price and was about to buy but geez theyre ugly :(

    • +3

Ugly? I was checking other colors of these shoes on Amazon early and this navy color or the black one (and other darker colors) looked good. All other lighter colors of these shoes are uglier. For this price I think they're good for casual shoes.

      • +1

It reminds me of skate shoes that were cool in the early 2000s. It's not the worst I've seen, but it's not particularly nice either.

    • +2

      I thought the same thing.

    • It looks alright from the pictures on other sites, looks a lot like Nike dunks.

  • +3

Best to use your credit card in PayPal to do the conversion the PayPal rate sucks.

    • Yea Paypal XE Rate = 28 degrees card's rate x 1.03

  • is sports direct show size in UK or US?

    • can be both. You may want to refer their size guide.

      • +1

If i don't know what size the shoe is the size guide doesn't help!
        example.

I want an 11 inch shoe. So it's UK 10 and US 11.

So do a buy a 10 or 11? I don't know if the shoe they are selling is UK or US sizing??? :)

        hence my first question :)

        • I go with the size in the (). I normally go with (47) which is US size 13 but here it's Size 12 so I believe it's UK Size.

        • the size 10(45) = UK10 = 45EUR = 11US = 11inch regarding their guide

    • +1

My guess is UK since it shows 10 (45) which is equivalent to UK 10 / US 11 / EUR 45. If it was US then it should have been 11 (45)

  • +1

Thanks bought a pair. Very happy

  • +1

Is anyone having problems with them?
They canceled items from my orders and didn't refund money, there is no information about it, they don't replay to e-mails, they don't replay to comments on Facebook, they don't approve new comments on Facebook.
Are these guys scammers, going burst?

    • +1

Maybe, the last two shoes I ordered were packed in bags with no packing whatsoever, and the boxes were battered and torn, the shoes themselves were absolutely fine/great though.

The price is far too low to be complaining about logistics at this stage, but if I run into an issue like yours I'd probably be livid too.

      • I've had shoe boxes from other companies sent the same way.

It has never bothered me as I'm going to throw the box away so putting it in a box to protect it seems wasteful.

    • +1

I had some skate shoes bounce at the dock for some reason, so it took time to get back to them and then more time to refund, but that's what they eventually did without prompting (though i was ready to).

    • +1

Had 3/4 orders cancelled from them.

I've paid with PayPal for all but these shoes. PayPal never took the money out of my account until the orders were marked shipped. They sat as 'pending' in my PP account and after a week or two after cancellation they disappear.

Is it possible your orders were also pending and your card was never actually charged?

      • +1

I paid directly with my credit card and it was charged.
The items look collected by the delivery company and sitting there 1 week not showing any update so this is another bell alarm for me.
What puzzles me is that no one answer e-mails and there is no notice nor help about refund for cancelled items.
I'll wait one more week then I do a charge back, lesson learned.

        • +1

That's a bit concerning, especially when you are trying to contact them and they are stonewalling you.

If they were marked as collected by the courier then yeah good idea to give it another week as it's reasonable to expect that there wouldn't be the greatest tracking information when we paid around $2 for international shipping, and taking 2 weeks wouldn't be bad either.

        • @c0balt: Still no refund but I'm not worrying too much since I paid with the credit card also there are other issues with another order so I'll just apply for a charge back since there is no communication.
          Just a waste of time!

  • i bought a US10 but im US11 :/

    • +2

The sizes shown there are UK sizes. So if you bought size 10 from this deal then they're US11. I bought size 10 from this deal as I wear UK/AU10 and US11 myself.

      • damn, i just ordered a size 11 and asekd to cancel the 10…hahahah

        • Damn, dude! You should've checked the size chart right next to the shoes on the link: https://imgur.com/a/uYsv3sg

        • @AussieDaddy: i did. but i thought they were US size not UK on the description. I didnt see anything mentioning that their sizes are in UK. Oh well. Can always sell them for same price. Or gift. Its only $31.

        • +1

@Bruno28: On the flip side, I read on some reviews that these shoes are known to run tight so they might actually fit you well. :)

        • @AussieDaddy: Thanks. lets see. If i get both ill see which works best and sell the other.

        • @Bruno28: meh, with Skate shoes, it's harder to sell. just checked Ebay same shoes go for $40 but no one bought it yet.

        • @Bruno28:

…i thought they were US size not UK…

Yeah i made the same mistake for my first ever order…just so accustomed to seeing US sizes.

  • I didn't even bother with GBP. $30aud is still a good deal. Let's hope they're not Vic Market rip offs.

  • -5

What is Landfill direct claiming the RRP to be? $220?

  • +3

I'm 35…can I still pull off skate shoes or do I need to start buying boat shoes…?

    • +3

In August I'll turn 39 and I still wear skate shoes. They're comfy and affordable casual shoes, and have no age restrictions. Wear whatever you like as long as you're not attending a formal event.

    • +1

      This old man says 'yes'.

      • Your name wouldn't happen to be a World of Warcraft/Hearthstone reference, would it…?

        • Hi, i've been waiting here for almost a month for your message.

No, not a gamer so no idea what that's about. Got a pic of an angry looking chicken so just called myself that before i realised i couldn't change it for another year. I think i can change it now though, but my infamy would be lost, forever!

Delta Force shoes: for the sneaky operator in you.

    Thanks OP, got one.

No way am i wearing a swoosh on my foot.

    • +3

      Just do it

  • +1

Isn't it about time we had a worldwide standard on shoe sizes?? Like C'mon!

  • -1

    Here's hoping these ones ship.

So far 3/4 of my SD orders have been cancelled.

  • Be careful I’ve purchased 3 pairs of shoes now each time they have not been the same size as the box. Having said that I might have just been really unlucky

  • +1

Thanks OP, got myself a pair.

Straight out PayPal conversion = $28.89

  • +1

    Very cheap thanks

  • Good review site guys:-

    https://runrepeat.com/nike-sb-delta-force-vulc

Great value - from the reviews the main problem people are having is these are narrow shoes and around the toes feels cramped. Apparently these are great if you are a skateboarder for control but can be uncomfortable.

    Some more reviews:-

    • In fact the problem when buy shoes online is that you can't try before you buy so before you buy be sure the web site tells the wide size, like in my case I need a DD or extra wide.

  • Is it over? Showing up as 75 for me

    • +1

No, be sure you’re selecting a size between 6-11 in navy and they should show at the lower price.

      • +1

        Thank you

  • since being an ozbargainer i've bough way too many shoes, i think i'll try and pass this time

  • How long is the usual shipping from them, UK to Australia? I ordered last weekend and it still says processing.

    • 3 weeks

  • How do you change currency?

    • Top left icon

  • The price has changed and it's $48 a pair now. Not a good bargain anymore, I am afraid.

  • Mine just arrived. As I feared, they fell like cheap Vic market rip offs. They are very narrow like mentioned above.. Like a women's shoe. The sole is really thin and cheap. The materials used look and feel cheap. Nothing like my genuine Nike SB's. Anyone like to buy mine, size 10us? Going cheap!
