Where can I get a RELIABLE but decently priced HDMI to DP cable or adapter/converter?

Gone through one adapter and one cable, just want something that will work. The adapter sort of worked for a moment with distortion and then stopped working, and the cable worked for about a month, then i accidentally unplugged the power cable of the monitor and after plugging it back in again could not get it to work again. Both were cheap off ebay. Now looking for something reliable but not overpriced. The problem is the graphics card has 1 HDMI (to TV), 1 DVI (to monitor) and 3 DP, and both monitors only have HDMI/DVI, no DP.

Anyone able to point me in the right direction? I've heard good things from monoprice but they are a US store so something local would be better.

This made me google for "DP Video" and all the videos that came out were not the best lol.

I bought one from eBay and it was super dodgy, haven't got it to work since, I got this on Amazon https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B017Q8ZVWK/ref=oh_aui_d… and working great so far, works really well and fast considering its a cheapy adapter.

    • Your comment just made me google what "DP Video" was as well.

      Yep, definately NSFW!

  • Ebay

  • get dvi-to-dp converter, then dp cable to GC

  • I've used the Amazon ones a fair bit, they're really good.

Just buy 5 of the really cheap ones and buy them from five different sources. When one breaks, move on to the next one.

    • Or just buy one for half the price of your five that will last forever.

MSY. Order online and pickup/pay instore.

    • Seconded. And after getting owned by the ACCC, even if there are any issues I think they'll accept returns without issue.
